Coming up we have a featherweight kickboxing rules bout between Ramon Dekkers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ernesto Hoost (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hoost has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Ernesto Hoost was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ramon Dekkers! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ernesto Hoost! The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Daniel Cesar and Leandro Rodrigues.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hoost swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Dekkers seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter. Dekkers takes the fight into the clinch. Dekkers pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Dekkers clinches up with Hoost and pushes him back against the ropes. Hoost tries to break the clinch but Dekkers is controlling the position. The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Dekkers takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. Hoost wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Dekkers is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
Dekkers is pushing Hoost up against the ropes, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word. Dekkers lands a body punch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hoost has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Hoost tries to stall but Dekkers uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Hoost is trying to break the clinch but Dekkers is controlling him. Dekkers keeps control of Hoost as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Hoost misses with a body punch.
Dekkers could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Hoost is trying to push Dekkers away but Dekkers has him pressed against the ropes, so he's going nowhere. Hoost misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Hoost is trying to break the clinch but Dekkers has him pressed against the ropes. Dekkers prevents Hoost from breaking the clinch. Dekkers breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Hoost throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Dekkers counters by moving into the clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Come on Dekkers - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Hoost being controlled against the ropes. Dekkers gets a warning from the ref for wasting time. Dekkers's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. Dekkers breaks from the clinch.
Dekkers instigates a clinch. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Dekkers manages to break the clinch.
Hoost blocks the body kick.
Hoost tries to clinch up against the ropes, rushing in to close the distance. Dekkers manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Dekkers forces Hoost back against the ropes and clinches. Hoost avoiding damage as Dekkers throws knees to the body.
Dekkers breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Dekkers tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Dekkers swats away the attempt to clinch by Hoost. Dekkers misses with a body kick. Hoost now looks to counter with a shot at the body. Dekkers lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Hoost tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hoost wants to clinch up but Dekkers keeps it at a distance. As Hoost looks to move away, Dekkers throws a big counter combo bu Hoost just gets out of the way. Dekkers misses with a leg kick and Hoost counters with a three punch combo that has Dekkers backing up. Dekkers nods at Hoost to acknowledge the strikes. Dekkers on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Dekkers takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. Hoost is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hoost is looking to clinch. Dekkers swings for the body but Hoost moves out of range.

Dekkers breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Hoost tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but Dekkers paws at him with a jab and circles away. Dekkers slips under a jab from Hoost. Dekkers is looking for a counter combo. Dekkers tries a head kick but it misses.
Hoost tries to clinch but Dekkers moves out of range. Dekkers pushes Hoost up against the ropes in a clinch. Dekkers effectively controlling the action here. Hoost tries to land knees in the clinch but Dekkers avoids the damage to the body.

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Dekkers. Dekkers tests Hoost's chin there with a solid looking shot. Hoost tries to clinch but Dekkers is having none of it. The fight stays on the outside here - Hoost looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Hoost scores with a nice head shot. A nice combination there by Hoost.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Dekkers moves into the clinch. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Dekkers throws a right hand that Hoost ducks under and follows up with a left that Hoost also avoids with ease. The fight moves into the clinch position. Dekkers is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.

Dekkers pushes Hoost up against the ropes in a clinch. Dekkers lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Hoost is rocked! Hoost looking to throw knees to the head but Dekkers is blocking nicely.
Hoost is still on wobbly legs! Can Dekkers finish him? Dekkers is struggling to control the position. Dekkers's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. The fight moves into the clinch position. Dekkers breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Dekkers closes the distance and clinches. Ramon Dekkers has scored more points in the clinch so far. Dekkers manages to break the clinch.
Dekkers swats away the attempt to clinch by Hoost. Hoost darts in trying to clinch and Dekkers counters with a big right hand that sends Hoost crashing to the mat! He's very wobbly - can he beat the count?! 5,6,7,8... he's up! No, he's down again! 9,10! He's done! The referee calls an end to the bout - Dekkers takes it!
