The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bogtrotter throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Bogtrotter throws a lazy head kick
and Barnes counters with a shoot takedown. Bogtrotter fights it but they end up in guard.
Barnes throwing strikes from guard but Bogtrotter blocks nicely.
Barnes stands and steps away. Bogtrotter gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Bogtrotter looks to score with a jab to the body but Barnes is just out of range.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Barnes walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Barnes takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Bogtrotter tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Bogtrotter throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Barnes misses with a jab, cross combination.
Barnes really is a fat lump.
Barnes takes a head kick and shrugs it off.

Barnes is looking for a counter combo.
Bruce Bogtrotter seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Bogtrotter throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.

Barnes turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Barnes manages to end up in side control.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

A looping hook to the body misses from Bogtrotter. Barnes does a little dance to reset his feet.
Barnes takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.

Bogtrotter lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Bogtrotter scores with the left hand. Barnes knows he should have avoided that one.

and Barnes counters by clinching up.

Barnes manages to break the clinch.

and Barnes holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Bogtrotter has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.

Bogtrotter lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Barnes takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Nickolas Barnes will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Bogtrotter uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.

Nickolas Barnes is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Bogtrotter, as that shot connected.

Bogtrotter lands a brutal head kick. Barnes looks out on his feet and Bogtrotter throws more strikes until the ref is forced to stop the fight!
