The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mabuva looks to land a right hand but Takahashi moved out of range.
Mabuva tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Takahashi was well out of range. Poor timing from Mabuva.
Takahashi buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Takahashi fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Mabuva on the side of the head.
Mabuva has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Takahashi ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Takahashi checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Takahashi is looking to counter punch.
Takahashi has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Jungle Gym in the buildup to the fight.
Takahashi lands a big head kick that sends Mabuva to the canvas! Takahashi follows up with strikes from the mount that forces the ref to step in and stop the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:23 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ethelbart Takahashi!
