36 - 26 - 2, fighting out of London, Richard Martinez! The judges for this bout are Paul Gruel, Jeff Smith and Colin Fray.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Martinez looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Martinez throws a head kick but Arvanitidis moves out of range.
A momentary lapse in concentration from Arvanitidis enables Martinez to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Arvanitidis manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Arvanitidis tries to land a sweep but no joy. Martinez throws a big right hand that misses. Martinez trying to control but Arvanitidis is working from the bottom. Martinez preventing the sweep. Martinez wants to pass the guard but Arvanitidis is keeping the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Arvanitidis is trying to control the position from the bottom.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Arvanitidis has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Martinez doesn't defend quickly enough and Arvanitidis has managed to lock this one up! Can Martinez escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Arvanitidis on a fantastic submission victory.
