Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Frank Figg (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Steven Cooper (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cooper has chosen Misfits - Last Caress as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Steven Cooper told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Steven Cooper!
The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Eddie Farnsworth and Dean Styles.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cooper scores with a three punch combo!
A left and a right from Cooper both land. Nice combination.
It looks like Frank Figg has been cut.
Figg shoots for a double leg takedown but Cooper sprawls well. He's pushed Figg's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Cooper stuffs the takedown.
Cooper misses with a few strikes there.
Cooper lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Figg closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Cooper lands a jab-cross combination.
Cooper throws a nice looking combination but Figg bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Cooper lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Figg circles away quickly and effectively.
Figg is looking to clinch.
Figg takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Figg shoots for a double leg takedown but Cooper sprawls well. He's pushed Figg's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Cooper misses with a few strikes there.
Figg closes the distance and clinches up with Cooper, looking for a takedown. Figg pushes Cooper against the cage but Cooper circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Figg has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Cooper tries to reverse the position but Figg maintains control.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Cooper wants to control but Figg is having none of it.
Figg can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Cooper is looking to escape.
Cooper is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Cooper blocking the ground and pound.
Figg controlling from the full mount.
Cooper tries to lock up and control but Figg gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Steven Cooper dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Frank Figg's cut.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Figg shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Cooper but Cooper pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Cooper avoids a kick to the body.
Figg tries a head kick but it misses.
Nice takedown defense from Cooper. No joy for Figg on that attempt.
Figg looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Steven Cooper seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Cooper drops Figg with a big left hand! Figg is injured, injured bad! Cooper jumps in and finished him with strikes! The fight is over!
