Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Elijah Pitakaka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brutus Nash (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pitakaka comes to the cage accompanied by my dick. Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 17 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Elijah Pitakaka!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Brutus Nash!
The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Paul Gruel and Micheangelo Fripello.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pitakaka scores with a nice body kick.
Pitakaka avoids the head kick by Nash.
Pitakaka slaps away a takedown attempt from Nash, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Pitakaka lands with a nice body kick.
Pitakaka goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
We've been told by Pitakaka's head coaches at Miletich Xtreme Fighting Systems that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Pitakaka keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Nash throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Pitakaka lands a leg kick that knocks Nash off balance momentarily.
Pitakaka keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Nash.
Nash lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Pitakaka misses with a body kick.
Nash shoots in for a takedown but Pitakaka shows good takedown defense.
Pitakaka throws a head kick that looked like it stung.


It looks like Brutus Nash has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Pitakaka moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Pitakaka avoids the head kick by Nash.
Pitakaka misses with a low kick.
Pitakaka misses with a head kick.
Nash throws the left hand but Pitakaka avoids the punch easily.
Pitakaka jinks towards his opponent looking like he wants to counter with a mid kick but doesn't commit.
Pitakaka fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Nash checks it well.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Nash takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
A head kick from Pitakaka lands but Nash takes it in his stride.
Elijah Pitakaka seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Pitakaka looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Pitakaka misses with a kick to the body.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Nash! But no joy.
Pitakaka throws a sloppy head kick and Nash moves out of range easily.
Nash throws a jab but it's blocked by Pitakaka.
Pitakaka keeps Nash at a distance using the push kick.

Nash fails with the takedown.
Elijah Pitakaka has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Brutus Nash.
Pitakaka misses with a head kick.
Nash avoids the head kick by Pitakaka.
A nice inside leg kick there by Pitakaka. That's going to slow Nash down.
Pitakaka lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Pitakaka moves away from the strike by Nash.
Pitakaka seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.

Nash feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Nash postures up in Pitakaka's guard and throws a big left but Pitakaka blocks it.

Nash postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Nash with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Pitakaka pulls Nash in close to his closed guard and prevents Nash from doing any damage or advancing position.
Nash connects with a couple of short punches.
Pitakaka preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Pitakaka wants to get back to his feet but Nash is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Nash trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Nash postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Pitakaka is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Nash, into his guard.


That's three minutes gone in the round.
Pitakaka is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Nash trying to keep a closed guard but Pitakaka is proving a slippery customer.
Pitakaka stopping the sweep attempt from Nash.
Pitakaka has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Nash is looking to cinch up a triangle. Pitakaka throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Nash's body to avoid the submission. Nash has instead reached around Pitakaka's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Nash arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Brutus Nash!
