Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Labed Murazel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marco Polo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Polo is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: On The Floor. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

8 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Marco Polo! The judges for this bout are Josh West, Paul Gruel and Colin Fray.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Murazel tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Polo throws a low kick but it's checked well by Murazel. Polo tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Murazel counters with a stiff right hand. Polo has managed to clinch.
Polo is trying to pull guard but Murazel turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. Murazel taking a breather. Polo has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Murazel uses from the top position. Murazel trying to control the position from guard on top but Polo is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Murazel lands with a straight right. Polo didn't see that one coming. That's two minutes gone in the round. Polo breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Polo misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Polo goes for a high kick. It partially lands. Polo walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Polo throws a nice outside leg kick. Polo sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Murazel circles away from the clinch attempt.
Marco Polo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Murazel connects with a right hand. Polo shakes it off. Polo stuns Murazel with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Murazel leaves Polo with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Labed Murazel has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Marco Polo. Murazel moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. Polo fails with the takedown.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Murazel leaves Polo with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Murazel pushes Polo up against the cage in a clinch. Murazel's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. Polo misses with the head strike.

Murazel looks to throw the jab but Polo is out of range. Polo darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. The fighters are battling for position here. Murazel manages to regain full guard. Nice work. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Murazel looking for a guillotine here but Polo defends easily.
Murazel is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Polo is aware though and is defending well. We've been hearing good reports from Murazel's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today. Polo gets slowly back to his feet. Polo feints and as Murazel raises his hands in defense, Polo changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Murazel looking to control.
Murazel escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Polo gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Murazel looking to sweep here. No luck so far. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Polo wants to control from the top but Murazel keeps moving. Murazel has his foot on Polo's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Polo works his way back into a safe position though. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Polo drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Murazel manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Polo has Murazel in his guard. Polo pulls Murazel in close to his closed guard and prevents Murazel from doing any damage or advancing position. Murazel wants to control from the top but Polo keeps moving. Murazel looking to sit in guard and control but Polo gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Polo slips nicely into half guard. Murazel is looking for a sweep. Polo is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Polo is looking to take a break and control but Murazel is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Murazel trying to hold on to Polo's head to control him but Polo postures up.
Polo stands up out of the half guard. Murazel lands a really nice looking cross but Polo seems unphased.
Murazel is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Polo can do to turn this around? Murazel checks a low kick from Polo. The fight stays on the outside here - Murazel looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Murazel on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Polo. Polo obviously looking to wear him down.

Murazel throws a hook to the side of Polo's head but Polo sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Polo fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Murazel has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Polo takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Labed Murazel. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Murazel, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent.
