Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Saul Tigh!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Eddie Alstot!
The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Reed Andrews and Joseph Jones.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alstot misses with a body shot.
Tigh closes the distance and lands a one-two.
We've been told by Tigh's head coaches at Cylon Training Academy that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Alstot is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Alstot shoots in for a takedown but Tigh shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Tigh misses with a hook. Alstot ducked under it nicely.
Tigh throws a combination. Alstot tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
It looks like Eddie Alstot has been cut.
Tigh looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Tigh fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Tigh batters Alstot with a massive right followed by a huge left! Alstot is out on his feet looking like a zombie as Tigh lands a final crushing right hand to drop Alstot to the mat with a gruesome thud! Tigh is running around like a mad man after that fight and for good reason!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:31 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Saul Tigh!
A less than humble Saul Tigh misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
