PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Andrew Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jean Bedel MBaka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jackson comes to the cage accompanied by Ready to Fall. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Topper Green, Eliza Hachem and Steve Erwin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

MBaka shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than MBaka was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
MBaka fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Jackson tries to escape but MBaka is in control.
Jackson trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.

MBaka connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Jackson some visible discomfort.
MBaka working the strikes but Jackson uses the opportunity to regain half guard.

MBaka is nestled in close to Jackson, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

MBaka has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Jackson is trying to keep an underhook but MBaka manages to get the takedown into half guard.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
MBaka is trying to control the action in half guard but Jackson is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

MBaka is stalling here. Jackson is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! MBaka seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Jackson has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Jackson enables MBaka to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Jackson manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

MBaka chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Jackson can pounce on him.
