Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Luis Combs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dicken My Butte (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Luis Combs!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Dicken My Butte!
The judges for this bout are Josh West, Chris Saunders and Ryoma Takatsuka.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
My Butte swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! My Butte crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Combs - the referee stops the clock and My Butte gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Combs. My Butte manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Combs takes the fight into the clinch.
Combs has had enough of the clinch but My Butte keeps him there for the moment.
Combs is trying to break free.

My Butte manages to break the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Combs could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

My Butte is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Combs gets his way!
Combs lands a punch that was close to the back of the head but the ref thinks it's OK.
Combs is working the ground and pound here and the referee is taking a close look at My Butte. He must escape soon or this one will be stopped.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


My Butte throws a nice looking combination but Combs bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

It looks like Luis Combs has been cut.

My Butte looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Combs half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
Dicken My Butte seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Combs misses with a double jab.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Combs accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Combs distracts My Butte with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
My Butte is breathing heavily.
Combs is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

Combs loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Combs postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Luis Combs overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Combs forces My Butte back against the cage and clinches.

Combs manages to pull guard.
Combs pulls My Butte in close to his closed guard and prevents My Butte from doing any damage or advancing position.
Combs continues to stall.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Combs has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think My Butte should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Combs has tightened it up now! My Butte should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:57 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Luis Combs!
