Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jean-Marc Mormeck (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yuya Shimizu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Shimizu has chosen Lost Frequencies - Are You With Me as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shimizu connects with a body shot that sends Mormeck's belly button to the back.
Shimizu connects with a crisp jab.
Mormeck lands a nice leg kick that just misses Shimizu's sensitive parts.
Mormeck scores with a nice strike.

Mormeck fails in his attempt to clinch.
Shimizu takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Mormeck needs to keep his hands up - Shimizu had a free shot at his head there.
Shimizu has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Shimizu tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Mormeck is able to avoid easily.
Mormeck is looking to counter punch.
Mormeck tests Shimizu's chin there with a solid looking shot.

Mormeck catches Shimizu with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Mormeck changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Shimizu tries to avoid it but Mormeck manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Shimizu to the ground. Shimizu escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Shimizu swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.

Shimizu throws a hook to the side of Mormeck's head but Mormeck sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Mormeck fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Shimizu.
Shimizu lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
A decent looking cross lands there for Shimizu.
A clash of legs there as Shimizu blocks the low kick.
Shimizu throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Shimizu cracks a nice hook into Mormeck's ribs.
Shimizu looks to land a combination but Mormeck avoids it well.
Mormeck takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

and Shimizu takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Mormeck throws a low kick but Shimizu moves out of range easily.

The fighters circle momentarily. Shimizu darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

It looks like Jean-Marc Mormeck has been cut.

Mormeck feints and as Shimizu raises his hands in defense, Mormeck changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Mormeck postures up in Shimizu's guard and throws a big left but Shimizu blocks it.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Shimizu connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.

and Mormeck counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Mormeck is nestled in close to Shimizu, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Mormeck is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Shimizu defends it well.
Mormeck is looking to stall here but Shimizu recovers full guard.
Shimizu wants to sweep here but Mormeck controlling him for the moment.
Mormeck has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

letting Mormeck counter with a right hand.
Shimizu throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Mormeck sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Mormeck appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick.

Mormeck stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Shimizu.
Shimizu jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Mormeck rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Shimizu moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
As Mormeck backs off Shimizu throws a huge counter combo but Mormeck manages to avoid it all.
Mormeck slips a jab from Shimizu.
Mormeck throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Mormeck takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Good exchange - Shimizu coming out on top.

Shimizu cracks Mormeck with a big right hand that sees him stumbling back against the cage! Mormeck falls to his knees and Shimizu doesn't need a second invitatation - he rushes in and fires off several unanswered shots that force the referee to stop the fight! This one is all over!
