Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Great Cornholio (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jimmy Gotti (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cornholio comes into the arena with Du Hast by Ramstein - Cornholio Mix blaring out of the sound system. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
15 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Great Cornholio! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
23 - 22 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jimmy Gotti! The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, George Francis and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gotti jabbing away but nothing is landing. Cornholio throws a series of punches but Gotti moves out of range. Cornholio fails with a takedown attempt. Cornholio throws a right and a left that Gotti avoids nicely. Cornholio moves into the clinch. Cornholio tries to pull guard but Gotti won't allow it.
Gotti pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Sloppy strikes from Gotti. Those never looked like landing. Cornholio uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Gotti.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Gotti takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. Gotti lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Gotti.
It looks like Great Cornholio has been cut. Gotti throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Cornholio on the side of the head. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Cornholio shoots in looking for a takedown but Gotti manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Cornholio's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Great Cornholio. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cornholio misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Gotti pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Gotti swinging wildly here.
Gotti throws a sloppy head kick and Cornholio moves out of range easily. Cornholio is looking for a counter combo. Cornholio misses with the combination.
A left and a right from Cornholio both land. Nice combination. Cornholio decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Cornholio is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Gotti is looking to control Cornholio's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Gotti avoid being mounted?
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cornholio wants to work for an arm triangle but Gotti is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Cornholio is trying to control the action in half guard but Gotti is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. This has been an exciting period of action! Cornholio is looking for a kimura here.
Gotti looks like he's trying to stand up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gotti is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Cornholio scores with a couple of nice shots. Cornholio looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Cornholio wants to control but Gotti is keeping him busy. Gotti makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work! Jimmy Gotti is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Cornholio scores with a head kick.
Gotti tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Cornholio takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Cornholio thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Gotti if he has to take too many more of those.
Cornholio moves out of range of the body kick from Gotti.
Gotti misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Cornholio lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Gotti looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. Gotti keeps the fight on the outside. Cornholio looking to land some kicks to the body here.

Cornholio forces Gotti back against the cage and clinches. Cornholio tries for a takedown but Gotti manages to get underhooks.
Cornholio has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Gotti clear over his head and slammed him to the mat! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Gotti is trapped and Cornholio is scoring with shots to the head and body. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Great Cornholio dominated that round. The cut man is working on Great Cornholio's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Gotti tries a head kick but it misses.
Cornholio throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Gotti counters with a series of strikes. Cornholio will be more careful next time no doubt. Gotti gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Cornholio to score an easy takedown into full guard. Cornholio wants to pass the guard but Gotti is keeping the position. Gotti pulls Cornholio in to control the position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Gotti looking for a sweep. Not yet Gotti, not yet. Cornholio trying to control the position from guard on top but Gotti is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Cornholio trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Cornholio throws a big right hand that misses.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Some wild striking there from Gotti.
Gotti throws a head kick that misses. An attempted straight right counter from Cornholio misses the target. Cornholio moves into the clinch. Cornholio is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Gotti is trying to push Cornholio away but Cornholio has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Cornholio is working for takedown but Gotti is calmly controlling the position for now.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cornholio keeps control of Gotti as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Cornholio decides to pull guard. Cornholio is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Gotti is aware though and is defending well. Cornholio manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Gotti manages to get himself to full guard.
Cornholio won't allow Gotti to sweep him here. Cornholio is standing up over Gotti. Gotti looks to escape but Cornholio dives into side control.
Gotti is positioning himself to get back to half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Cornholio prevents Gotti from escaping the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gotti is not content to let Cornholio control the position. Gotti felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it. Cornholio happy to just control the position for now. Cornholio in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. Cornholio tries to move to mount but Gotti blocks the move with his legs. Gotti is looking to regain half guard here but Cornholio keeps moving and retains side control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Cornholio trying to control the position but Gotti is working away. Cornholio working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Cornholio is looking to take a break and control but Gotti is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Gotti prevents Cornholio from moving into mount. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Great Cornholio dominated that second round. The cut man is working on Great Cornholio's cut. That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!
Cornholio tries to land a front kick but Gotti steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Cornholio works the jab nicely. Cornholio shoots in for a double leg but Gotti sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Thud! ouch! good body kick from Gotti - that will leave a mark!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Cornholio is defended easily by Gotti. Jimmy Gotti seems to be getting the better of the standup. Gotti catches Cornholio with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Gotti staying out of range there. Gotti fakes a jab and scores with a low kick. Gotti lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Great Cornholio's cut is getting worse.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gotti lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Cornholio circles away quickly and effectively. Cornholio is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Jimmy Gotti seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Cornholio lands a lovely overhand right. Cornholio has closed the distance and engaged Gotti in a clinch.
Cornholio fails to pull guard.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Great Cornholio. That's going to take a lot out of him. Gotti prevents a takedown attempt there.
Cornholio tries to pull guard but Gotti holds him up against the cage and eventually Cornholio drops back down to his feet.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Gotti is pressed up against the cage. Cornholio has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Gotti down to the mat. Gotti avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Cornholio clinches with his opponent.
Cornholio drops down looking for an ankle pick but Gotti pulls his leg out and moves away.
Cornholio moves into the clinch successfully.
Gotti is pressed up against the cage. Cornholio has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Gotti down to the mat. Gotti avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Cornholio throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Cornholio tries to score a power double leg takedown but Gotti sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Cornholio somewhat. Gotti pulls out of a head kick attempt.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cornholio uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. A head kick misses from Cornholio. Gotti throws a counter combo. Gotti fails to land with a series of punches.
Cornholio seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter. Cornholio closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Cornholio tries to pull guard but Gotti forces him back to his feet, against the cage. Cornholio turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! Cornholio advances to full mount. Cornholio cracks Gotti with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Gotti tries to lock up and control but Cornholio gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Cornholio jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Gotti is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Gotti and Cornholio has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Cornholio postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Cornholio looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Great Cornholio is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Cornholio trying to control the action but Gotti is working from the bottom. Cornholio landing a few strikes.
And that's the end of the fight! Great Cornholio showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Cornholio, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

In favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... Great Cornholio! After the fight, Great Cornholio was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
