The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dark has a takedown stuffed.
Dark is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Suckerpunch.
As Dark tries to get set, Suckerpunch tries to push him back and clinch up but Dark manages to avoid the attempt.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Dark.
Suckerpunch swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Dark throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Dark tries to clinch but Suckerpunch is having none of it.
Suckerpunch lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.

It looks like Terrell Dark has been cut.

Suckerpunch clinches.

Suckerpunch pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Dark is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Suckerpunch is defending well for now.
Suckerpunch lands a left hand that snaps the head of Dark backwards.
Suckerpunch on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Dark fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Dark tries for a takedown. No joy.
Ricki Suckerpunch has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Terrell Dark.
Suckerpunch lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.

Suckerpunch is trying to drag Dark to the mat but Dark just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Suckerpunch is looking to stand up but he'll have to free his leg first. Instead, Dark manages to get to full guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Suckerpunch wanted to stand there but Dark had control of the position.
Suckerpunch wants to stand and escape but instead Dark has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Suckerpunch on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Suckerpunch tries to get out of the position.

Dark drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Suckerpunch dives on top into guard.

Suckerpunch wants to stand but Dark is controlling his posture from full guard.
Dark wants to get back to his feet but Suckerpunch is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Suckerpunch trying to stand up but can't free himself from Dark's guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Dark is working an open guard so Suckerpunch takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Dark looks for a takedown but Suckerpunch sprawls well.
It looked like Suckerpunch was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Dark misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Suckerpunch.
Dark fails to land the takedown.
Dark shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Suckerpunch as he jumps to the side.
Dark misses with a low kick.
Suckerpunch stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Suckerpunch wants it to stay on the feet.
Dark takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Suckerpunch fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.

A jab-cross combination lands for Suckerpunch and sends Dark crashing to the mat! Suckerpunch follows him down to the mat - Dark regains half guard but he's not out of trouble yet!
Dark is still in real trouble! Can Suckerpunch finish him?

That has opened up Terrell Dark's cut even more.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Suckerpunch seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.

Suckerpunch stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.
A chopping leg kick lands by Suckerpunch.
Ricki Suckerpunch seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Suckerpunch wobbles Dark with a right hand and the left hook that follows puts him on his rear! Suckerpunch dives in with a huge flying punch that connects right on the button and puts Dark to sleep! - What a violent and spectacular finish!
