And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Salvatore Pellegrini!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pellegrini fails with the takedown
and Batroc counters with a two punch combo.
Pellegrini pushes Batroc up against the cage in a clinch.
Pellegrini decides to pull guard.
Pellegrini looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Batroc passes into half guard.
Pellegrini looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Pellegrini gets full guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Pellegrini escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Batroc gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Batroc got a little sloppy there for a moment and Pellegrini has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Batroc has managed to get both his arms back between Pellegrini's legs - danger averted.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Batroc is looking to stand up but Pellegrini won't let him.
Pellegrini is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Batroc defends well.
Batroc has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Pellegrini is proving hard to escape from.
Batroc looking to pass the guard.
Pellegrini is looking for a triangle but Batroc pushes his legs off easily.
Pellegrini is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Batroc advances to half guard.
Batroc gets to his feet - back to striking we go!
Batroc uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Pellegrini.
Batroc gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
A slow jab from Pellegrini misses its intended target.
Pellegrini takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Batroc scores with a nice head shot.
Batroc moves into the clinch.
Pellegrini tries to pull guard but Batroc holds him up against the cage and eventually Pellegrini drops back down to his feet.
Batroc lands a right hand that snaps the head of Pellegrini backwards.
A body shot lands from Batroc.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
A hook to the body from Batroc.
Pellegrini tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Batroc just stands there and leans against the cage.
Georges Batroc has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Salvatore Pellegrini.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Batroc creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Pellegrini tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Batroc cracks Pellegrini with a nice body shot.
Pellegrini jumps guard but Batroc turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
An uppercut to the body lands inside from Batroc.
Pellegrini looks winded!
Pellegrini tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Batroc smiles and moves away.
Georges Batroc is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Batroc goes for a small jab and connects. Now Batroc goes in closer pressing the issue. Left hook, right straight! Pellegrini stumbles back but Batroc runs in with a huge uppercut knocking Pellegrini to the ground! What a finish! You have to wonder if Pellegrini will ever be the same after a knockout like that.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:36 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Georges Batroc!
