Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Samuel Alvarado (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and George Kazinski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kazinski comes into a darkened arena with his song building. 2pac - Soldier Like Me kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Samuel Alvarado! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, George Kazinski! The judges for this bout are Chris Dean, Hugh Johnson and Francis DeMontford.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kazinski moves into the clinch successfully.
Kazinski looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Alvarado tries to pull guard but Kazinski holds him up against the cage and eventually Alvarado drops back down to his feet.
Alvarado is trying to drag Kazinski to the mat but Kazinski just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Kazinski can't find room to land a body shot as Alvarado controls the action.

It looks like Samuel Alvarado has been cut. Kazinski drags the fight down to the ground.
Alvarado connects with a couple of short punches. Alvarado prevents Kazinski from getting back to his feet. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Alvarado postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Kazinski wants to get back to his feet.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Alvarado shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Kazinski but Kazinski pushes him off and we're back to square one. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Samuel Alvarado. That's going to take a lot out of him. Alvarado closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Kazinski being controlled against the cage. Kazinski pushes off an throws an elbow but Alvarado leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.

Kazinski is fighting off a takedown attempt but Alvarado is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Kazinski to the mat. Kazinski regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. Alvarado connects with a couple of short punches. Alvarado throws a big elbow that misses. Alvarado is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Alvarado prevents Kazinski from getting back to his feet. Kazinski being controlled here, momentarily. Kazinski is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Alvarado is controlling him.

It looked like Alvarado was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit. Kazinski throws a combination. Alvarado tries to block but a couple of punches get through. Alvarado closes the distance and clinches. Kazinski creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses. Alvarado lands a takedown into guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Alvarado keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Kazinski's head. Alvarado really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Alvarado looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Alvarado connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Kazinski some visible discomfort.

Alvarado tries to counter by clinching up but Kazinski breaks away and moves out of range. Kazinski ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Alvarado moves away. Alvarado seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance. Alvarado bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Alvarado is putting a hurting on Kazinski here, landing some big shots from side control. Alvarado is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position. Alvarado scoring with punches from side control. Alvarado just content to control the position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Alvarado scores with punches from side control. You can see the frustration on Kazinski's face as Alvarado controls the position. Alvarado seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Kazinski for as long as he can get away with. Kazinski takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Alvarado has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Alvarado is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Kazinski can do to turn this around?

Alvarado thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Alvarado lands some shots froms side control. Kazinski can't do much from the bottom here. A lull in the action here as Alvarado stalls from top position.

Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Kazinski is trying to escape and get back to his feet. Alvarado content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though. This is a sustained period of stalling by Alvarado.
