Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ricardo Alves (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mamed Khalidov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Alves comes to the ring accompanied by Sick Puppies - You're Going Down. Khalidov has chosen Mamed - CoreMoon as his entrance music. Mamed Khalidov is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ricardo Alves!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
8 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Mamed Khalidov!
The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Shirou Masuda and Ren Mimura.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alves throws a hook but Khalidov blocks it.
Khalidov misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Alves looks for the body kick but Khalidov saw that one coming.
Khalidov shoots and misses
and Alves connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Khalidov dives in for a single leg takedown but Alves sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the ropes.
Ricardo Alves has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mamed Khalidov.
Alves moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Alves bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Khalidov's head backwards.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Alves punishes Khalidov's body with a nice straight punch.
Alves smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Alves looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Alves sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Khalidov defending well though.
Khalidov manages to get to full guard.
Khalidov is trying to keep Alves in close.
Khalidov is looking to cinch up a triangle. Alves throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Khalidov's body to avoid the submission. Khalidov has instead reached around Alves's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Khalidov arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:41 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Mamed Khalidov!
In his post fight interview, Mamed Khalidov started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
