Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Eino Kolehmainen! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Buvaisar Hamidovich Saitiev! The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Daniel Blasius and Paul Aken.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hamidovich Saitiev manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Kolehmainen on his heels. He'll look to pass Kolehmainen's guard now, I'm sure. Hamidovich Saitiev wants to control from the top but Kolehmainen keeps moving. Hamidovich Saitiev connects with a couple of short punches. Kolehmainen pulls Hamidovich Saitiev in close to prevent any damage. Kolehmainen throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Hamidovich Saitiev got a little sloppy there for a moment and Kolehmainen has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Hamidovich Saitiev has managed to get both his arms back between Kolehmainen's legs - danger averted. Kolehmainen escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Hamidovich Saitiev gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. We've been hearing good reports from Kolehmainen's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kolehmainen is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Hamidovich Saitiev is aware though and is defending well.

Kolehmainen pulls Hamidovich Saitiev in close to prevent any damage. Hamidovich Saitiev working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Kolehmainen keeping full guard, as Hamidovich Saitiev tries to pass. Hamidovich Saitiev makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Hamidovich Saitiev is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Kolehmainen has momentary wrist control but Hamidovich Saitiev slips an elbow through the middle. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hamidovich Saitiev won't allow Kolehmainen to sweep him here. Kolehmainen throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Kolehmainen is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Kolehmainen looking for a sweep. Not yet Kolehmainen, not yet. Hamidovich Saitiev postures up in Kolehmainen's guard and throws a big left but Kolehmainen blocks it. Kolehmainen is looking for a triangle but Hamidovich Saitiev pushes his legs off easily.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Hamidovich Saitiev working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Hamidovich Saitiev won't allow Kolehmainen to sweep him here. Hamidovich Saitiev throws a big right hand that misses. Kolehmainen is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Hamidovich Saitiev lands a couple of digs. Kolehmainen is trying to keep Hamidovich Saitiev in close.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Hamidovich Saitiev content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Kolehmainen keeping moving, preventing Hamidovich Saitiev from controlling successfully. Hamidovich Saitiev throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Kolehmainen works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Kolehmainen uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Hamidovich Saitiev.
Hamidovich Saitiev looks to land a left hand but Kolehmainen moved out of range nicely. Hamidovich Saitiev swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Kolehmainen feinted with a counter takedown. Kolehmainen shoots in but Hamidovich Saitiev avoids the takedown attempt easily. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Kolehmainen displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Hamidovich Saitiev throws out the jab. Kolehmainen uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Hamidovich Saitiev.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Buvaisar Hamidovich Saitiev will probably get the nod. That's time! Kolehmainen's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

and Kolehmainen counters with a single leg into guard. Hamidovich Saitiev didn't expect that. Hamidovich Saitiev is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Hamidovich Saitiev wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Kolehmainen pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Hamidovich Saitiev is keeping the position for now. Kolehmainen won't allow Hamidovich Saitiev to get back to his feet. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kolehmainen slips nicely into half guard. Kolehmainen is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Hamidovich Saitiev is staying active underneath Kolehmainen, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kolehmainen prevents Hamidovich Saitiev from improving his position. Hamidovich Saitiev wants to get back to full guard but Kolehmainen has mounted him! Kolehmainen wants to take his opponent's back but Hamidovich Saitiev doesn't allow it. Hamidovich Saitiev tries to buck Kolehmainen off but Kolehmainen takes his back! Kolehmainen is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Hamidovich Saitiev can do to turn this around? Hamidovich Saitiev tries to escape but he's let his defenses down in doing so and Kolehmainen has slipped in the rear naked choke! Oh, that's tiiiiiiiiight! Hamidovich Saitiev is tapping! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
