Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Diamond Hardwood (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carl Grimes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hardwood's entrance music is Diamond Eyes by Deftones. A fine choice. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Grimes shoots for a double leg takedown but Hardwood sprawls well. He's pushed Grimes's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Grimes.

Grimes gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Grimes is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Hardwood seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Grimes does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Grimes tries to buck Hardwood off but Hardwood is having none of it.

Grimes goes for a double leg but Hardwood avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the ropes as Hardwood continues to drive forward.
Nice uppercut lands for Hardwood. That snapped Grimes's head back.
