Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Demarcus Potts (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Clovis Serrano (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Serrano has chosen ACCEPT - Teutonic Terror as his entrance music. This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Demarcus Potts! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Clovis Serrano! The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Emerson Jorge and Luis Engracia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Potts takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Demarcus Potts seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A nice inside leg kick there by Serrano. That's going to slow Potts down. Potts wants to clinch up but Serrano keeps it at a distance. Serrano throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Potts looked to counter with a high kick but didn't commit. Serrano looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Potts shoots in looking for a takedown but Serrano manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Potts's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Serrano feints the counter takedown. Serrano defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Potts. Serrano throws a nice outside leg kick. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Serrano lands with a thumping leg kick.

That's one minute gone in the round. Potts pushes Serrano back against the cage and unloads with a body punch. Serrano tries to circle away but Potts has him pinned against the cage. Potts pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Potts closes the distance and clinches. Serrano managing to block the knees to the body from Potts.

He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched. Potts ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Potts no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Potts has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. Potts has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Potts goes for a double leg but Serrano avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Serrano continues to drive forward. Potts pushes Serrano up against the cage in a clinch. Serrano working hard to break the clinch. Serrano is trying to push Potts away but Potts has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Potts has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Serrano uses from the top position. Serrano really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Potts. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Serrano got a little sloppy there for a moment and Potts has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Serrano has managed to get both his arms back between Potts's legs - danger averted. Potts has his feet on Serrano's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Serrano avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Potts bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Serrano's guard.

He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Serrano is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Potts is controlling him. Potts drops back looking for a leg! Serrano is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Serrano manages to kick Potts off! Potts jumps back into Serrano's guard.

Serrano must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Potts looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Serrano is defending well. Potts quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Serrano has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Potts celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
