Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Keiji Numa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yokkao Kaennorsing (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Numa kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is You're Going Down. Kaennorsing has chosen Jungle Boogie as his entrance music. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kaennorsing fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Numa has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Kaennorsing will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Kaennorsing throws a right and a left that both miss.
Kaennorsing throws a series of punches but Numa moves out of range.
Kaennorsing throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Numa.
Numa takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

Numa went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.

Yokkao Kaennorsing seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Numa shoots in and gets a takedown into Kaennorsing's guard.
We've been hearing good reports from Numa's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
Numa is breathing heavily.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Numa wants to control from the top but Kaennorsing keeps moving.

Let's hope that Kaennorsing has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Kaennorsing's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

Kaennorsing is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Numa is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Kaennorsing is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Kaennorsing has escaped and now he's on top!

Kaennorsing has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Numa is proving hard to escape from.
Numa is trying to control the position but Kaennorsing postures up.
Kaennorsing is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Kaennorsing wants to stand but Numa is controlling his posture from full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Numa pulls Kaennorsing in close to prevent any damage.
Kaennorsing is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Kaennorsing keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Numa's head.
Kaennorsing has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Numa is proving hard to escape from.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Kaennorsing throws out a loose jab but Numa uses good head movement to avoid it.
A nice leg kick lands there from Kaennorsing.
Kaennorsing missing with a left hand there. Numa was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

and Numa counters with a one-two to the body.
Kaennorsing throws a hook but Numa blocks it.

Numa moves out of range as Kaennorsing strikes.

Yokkao Kaennorsing dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Numa fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Kaennorsing avoids it really well and circles away.

Numa is looking for a counter combo.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Kaennorsing keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Kaennorsing drops Numa with a straight right hand, right on the button! Kaennorsing follows him down to the mat and pounds him out with hammerfists until the referee jumps in to end the fight!
