Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Raf Rasmus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mladen Grdovic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Raf Rasmus! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Mladen Grdovic! The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Albert Achterberg and Nard Betker.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Grdovic dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Rasmus is looking to clinch. Rasmus with a poor takedown and Grdovic counters with a one-two to the body. Rasmus tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Grdovic paws at him with a jab and circles away. Rasmus misses with a wild combination.
Rasmus is looking to take this fight into the clinch. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Rasmus fails with an attempt to clinch.
Rasmus tries to clinch but fails miserably and Grdovic counters with a three punch combo that has Rasmus backing up. Rasmus nods at Grdovic to acknowledge the strikes. Rasmus closes the distance and pushes Grdovic back into the cage. Rasmus goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rasmus keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Grdovic's efforts to push away. Grdovic's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Grdovic throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Rasmus. Grdovic circles away from the clinch attempt and Grdovic counters with a left and a right that stings Rasmus. Grdovic throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Rasmus slips a jab and a cross from Grdovic.
Grdovic lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Grdovic pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Grdovic looks for the body kick but Rasmus saw that one coming. Grdovic misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Rasmus gets a clinch. Grdovic is trying to force a seperation but Rasmus has the dominant position. Grdovic working hard to break the clinch. Rasmus jumps guard but Grdovic turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. Rasmus is trying to pull guard but Grdovic turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Raf Rasmus. That's going to take a lot out of him. Grdovic throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
Grdovic escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Rasmus throws a body punch but Grdovic moves out of range.

and Grdovic counters with a two punch combo. Grdovic lands with a kick to the temple. Rasmus shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Rasmus tries to clinch there but Grdovic circles away.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Rasmus closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Grdovic is looking to break free of the clinch but Rasmus has double underhooks. Rasmus drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Grdovic gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Grdovic breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Rasmus is looking to take this fight into the clinch. A head kick by Grdovic misses and Rasmus counters with a single leg into guard. Grdovic didn't expect that. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Rasmus accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mladen Grdovic dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Rasmus tries to clinch up but Grdovic circles away and keeps his distance. Despite the aggression on Grdovic's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter. Grdovic lands a nice hook to Rasmus's body. Rasmus takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Grdovic scores with a punch to the head. Grdovic scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Grdovic looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Grdovic slips a jab and a cross from Rasmus.
The fight stays on the outside here - Rasmus looks like he's thinking about clinching though. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Rasmus throws a sloppy head kick and Grdovic counters with a three punch combo that has Rasmus backing up. Rasmus nods at Grdovic to acknowledge the strikes.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rasmus clinches. Grdovic has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Grdovic breaks from the clinch.
Grdovic fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Grdovic uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Rasmus has time to react. Rasmus walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Grdovic checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. Grdovic tries a head kick but it misses.
Rasmus drops down looking for a counter takedown but Grdovic sprawls and moves away. Mladen Grdovic is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Grdovic throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Rasmus counters with a nice double leg into side control. Grdovic won't be happy with that. Grdovic is looking for a sweep. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Rasmus is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Grdovic has escaped the position, nice work there. Both fighters have adopted an aggressive gameplan on the ground! Rasmus is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Grdovic is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Rasmus is looking to take a break and control but Grdovic is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Rasmus wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Grdovic, who protects the arm well. Grdovic is trying to get back to his feet. Grdovic tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Rasmus presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount! Grdovic is looking to improve his position but Rasmus isn't that keen on the idea.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rasmus has hold of Grdovic's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Grdovic manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Rasmus tries to control but Grdovic wriggling away. Grdovic really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Rasmus. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Grdovic is trying desperately to improve position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Rasmus working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Grdovic turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Rasmus off and cradles Grdovic's limp body as Rasmus celebrates with his corner.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:41 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Anaconda Choke). Raf Rasmus!
