Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jonathan Goldsmith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Crag Hack (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Goldsmith might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Dos Equis. Jonathan Goldsmith had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 29 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jonathan Goldsmith!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Crag Hack!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hack clinches with his opponent.
Goldsmith effectively controlling the action here.

I was talking to Goldsmith's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
Hack is trying to stall.

Goldsmith gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
Hack not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Goldsmith wants to get up but he can't break Hack's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Hack is on top in guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Hack stands and steps away. Goldsmith gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Hack leaves Goldsmith with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Come on Hack - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Goldsmith is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Hack to keep the fight standing.

Goldsmith's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Goldsmith wants to take the fight to the mat but Hack manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Hack creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Goldsmith blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Hack stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
Hack lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.

Goldsmith has Hack pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Hack manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Hack pushes off an throws an elbow but Goldsmith leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.
Hack blocks a punch to the side of the head.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Hack tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Crag Hack dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.



Hack drives through and clinches with Goldsmith against the cage.
Hack is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.
Goldsmith gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.

Goldsmith breaks the clinch.
Hack tries to clinch there but Goldsmith circles away.
Goldsmith walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Hack checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Hack swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Hack fails with an attempt to clinch.

Goldsmith went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Hack tries to clinch up but Goldsmith circles away and keeps his distance.
It looked like Goldsmith was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Goldsmith tries to close the distance and clinch up but Hack swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Hack raises up his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick.
Goldsmith fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Hack lands a big head kick that sends Goldsmith tumbling to the mat! Hack takes a step backwards and waves Goldsmith back to his feet - he wants the finish!


Goldsmith is rocked!
Goldsmith gets hit by the mother of all head kicks and drops to the canvas in a crumpled heap! Woooow, the Internet is going to be talking about this one for weeks!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:15 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Crag Hack!
Crag Hack seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
