Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between The Sun God Ra (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Malaik Hamadani (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, The Sun God Ra!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Malaik Hamadani!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Don Winkell and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hamadani throws a poor cross that misses
and Ra cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Hamadani shoots in for a takedown but Ra shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Hamadani throws a lazy right hand but Ra sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Ra is looking to counter punch.
Hamadani shoots in looking for a takedown. Ra tries to sprawl out of it but Hamadani keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Ra manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Ra connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Hamadani's hands.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

and Hamadani counters with a nice double leg into side control. Ra won't be happy with that.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Hamadani is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Ra is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Hamadani tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Hamadani has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Hamadani swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Ra is now in Hamadani's guard. A big mistake from Hamadani there, giving up the dominant position!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Ra appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.
Ra throws a right hand that Hamadani ducks under and follows up with a left that Hamadani also avoids with ease.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Ra crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Hamadani - the referee stops the clock and Ra gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Hamadani. Ra manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Hamadani goes for an armbar but Ra turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Ra.
