Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Cesar Waters (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marius Van Der Pooji (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Cesar Waters! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Marius Van Der Pooji! The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Colin Fotheringham and Paul Tew.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Waters keeps the fight on the outside. Waters was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. Van Der Pooji gets a clinch. Van Der Pooji tightens his grip and picks Waters up, before dumping him to the ground. Waters manages to land in guard. Waters had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Van Der Pooji defends it easily. Waters wants to get back to his feet but Van Der Pooji is in a dominant position and won't allow it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Van Der Pooji trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Van Der Pooji decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Waters, up you get! Van Der Pooji clinches.
That's one minute gone in the round. Waters has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Van Der Pooji after a bit of a struggle. Waters wants to break the clinch but can't.
Van Der Pooji lands with a left to the head.
It looks like Cesar Waters has been cut. Van Der Pooji has picked Waters up - he's going for a ride! Van Der Pooji dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard. Waters is trying to get back to full guard. Van Der Pooji trying to control the pace. Van Der Pooji wants to lay and pray for a moment but Waters keeps working. Waters desperately trying to maintain half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Van Der Pooji works his foot free and advances to mount. Waters blocking the ground and pound.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Waters tries to hold on but Van Der Pooji pushes him away. Van Der Pooji controlling from mount. Waters stops Van Der Pooji from taking his back. Still, being mounted isn't any better. Van Der Pooji takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Waters is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Waters is squirming around, avoiding Van Der Pooji's attempts to control the action. Van Der Pooji throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage. Waters is really trying hard to get back to his feet.
We've been informed that Van Der Pooji has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight. Waters is trying desperately to improve position. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Van Der Pooji controlling from mount. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Marius Van Der Pooji dominated that round. The cut man is working on Cesar Waters's cut. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Van Der Pooji rushes Waters and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. With the fighters clinched against the cage, Van Der Pooji creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Van Der Pooji unloads a knee to the mid-section. Van Der Pooji with a knee to the head.
Van Der Pooji gets a nice trip takedown into half guard. Van Der Pooji wants to work for an arm triangle but Waters is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Van Der Pooji stands up from half guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Van Der Pooji closes the distance and clinches.
That's one minute gone in the round. Van Der Pooji has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Waters clear over his head and slammed him to the mat! Van Der Pooji biding his time, controlling Waters. Waters is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet. Waters defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Van Der Pooji's arms. Waters is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Van Der Pooji.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Marius Van Der Pooji has got the better of the ground game so far. Van Der Pooji patiently working for the choke. Which fighter will keep their nerve here? Waters trying to control the position but Van Der Pooji manages to sink in the hooks. Van Der Pooji slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.

Van Der Pooji working for a choke but Waters reverses nicely into Van Der Pooji 's guard. Van Der Pooji is looking to stand back up but Waters counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Van Der Pooji. Waters trying to control the action but Van Der Pooji is working from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Waters throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Waters looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Van Der Pooji pushes Waters off looking to stand but Waters dives back in and keeps control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Marius Van Der Pooji showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Cesar Waters's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. And we move into the final round!
Van Der Pooji doesn't manage to clinch there - Waters circles away.
Waters went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected. Waters shoots in looking for a takedown but Van Der Pooji manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Waters's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Van Der Pooji! But no joy. Van Der Pooji gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Van Der Pooji crunches a lovely knee into Waters's ribcage. Van Der Pooji lands a left hand.
Van Der Pooji drops Waters with a big knee straight up the middle! Waters is covering up against the cage but manages to escape and gets back to his feet!
Waters is rocked! Van Der Pooji takes the fight into the clinch. Oh Waters is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Van Der Pooji pulls Waters into guard.
Van Der Pooji is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched. Van Der Pooji has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Waters is trying to keep an underhook but Van Der Pooji manages to get the takedown into half guard. Van Der Pooji thows a huge punch but Waters dodges it nicely.
Van Der Pooji postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Waters to stand up. Van Der Pooji closes the distance and pushes Waters back into the cage. Van Der Pooji lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Waters is trying to escape back to his feet but Van Der Pooji uses the scramble to pass into side control.
Van Der Pooji has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. Van Der Pooji moves into the clinch. Van Der Pooji turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Van Der Pooji manages to end up in side control. Van Der Pooji throws a strike aimed at the side of Waters's head but Waters avoids it well. Waters gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there! Van Der Pooji content just to control the position here. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Van Der Pooji throwing shots from mount but they're not landing. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Van Der Pooji has control of Waters's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Waters regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Van Der Pooji controlling the pace for now. Van Der Pooji stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet. Van Der Pooji gets in close and instigates a clinch. Van Der Pooji has Waters pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Van Der Pooji pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Waters tumbling to the mat - Van Der Pooji dives into Waters's guard. Van Der Pooji stands up and waves to Waters to follow him. Van Der Pooji forces Waters back against the cage and clinches. Van Der Pooji has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Waters clear over his head and slammed him to the mat! Waters fending off the submission attempt from Van Der Pooji. Van Der Pooji patiently working for the choke. Which fighter will keep their nerve here? Van Der Pooji has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Waters's body.
Van Der Pooji is looking for the choke from the back position but Waters is controlling his hands well. Van Der Pooji controlling from the back. Waters seems to have got his legs back now. Waters wants to get back to his feet. Van Der Pooji trying to control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Waters wants to control his opponent's hands but Van Der Pooji gets his hands free. Van Der Pooji controlling from the back. Waters trying to get back to his feet but Van Der Pooji is in full control for now. You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Waters manages to stand up with Van Der Pooji still on his back. Eventually Van Der Pooji drops to his feet and we're back in the standing position. Van Der Pooji moves into the clinch. Van Der Pooji lands a takedown into guard.
Waters wants to get back to his feet but Van Der Pooji is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Van Der Pooji wants to get up but he can't break Waters's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Van Der Pooji looking to pass the guard. Waters keeping moving, preventing Van Der Pooji from controlling successfully. Van Der Pooji trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Waters is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Van Der Pooji presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.
And that's the end of the fight! Marius Van Der Pooji comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Van Der Pooji has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality.
