Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
17 - 11 - 0, fighting out of London, Kamil Burczynski! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
29 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Amun Ra! The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Phil Schofield and Chris Edwards.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ra throws a head kick but Burczynski moves out of range.
Burczynski attempts a counter takedown but Ra avoids it well and moves away. Ra throws a right hand that Burczynski ducks under and follows up with a left that Burczynski also avoids with ease. Burczynski looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Burczynski connects with a looping right hand.
Burczynski with a poor takedown and Ra counters with a lovely straight right hand! Ra scoring well with a low kick there.
Ra misses the shot to the body. Burczynski scores with a leg kick.
Burczynski throws a leg kick but Ra sees it coming and checks it nicely. The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Burczynski checks a leg kick. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Burczynski throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. A big right from Burczynski misses. Ra throws a hook but Burczynski avoids it easily. Burczynski misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ra shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Burczynski sprawls well. Burczynski wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Ra gets slowly back to his feet. Burczynski dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Burczynski moves out of range as Ra strikes. Burczynski bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Ra's head backwards. Ra keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
The fighters circle momentarily. Ra darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Burczynski slips under a jab from Ra. Burczynski turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Burczynski avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Burczynski thuds his shin into the meat of Ra's side. Burczynski throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Ra's waist but Ra gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Burczynski off to one side. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kamil Burczynski. That's going to take a lot out of him. Burczynski waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Ra. Ra wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Burczynski misses with a looping left. Burczynski jabbing away but nothing is landing. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Ra rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Burczynski decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Ra's guard. Burczynski engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Ra is trying to control the position but Burczynski postures up. Ra looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Burczynski pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Ra is keeping the position for now. Burczynski trying to control the position from guard on top but Ra is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Burczynski scoring with some ground and pound. That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Ra lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard. Ra is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Ra sitting in guard, not really doing much. Ra trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Ra is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Ra passes Burczynski's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Burczynski wants to get back to full guard. Burczynski slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Burczynski preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Ra won't allow Burczynski to sweep him here. That was a close round but I would say that Kamil Burczynski will probably get the nod. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Burczynski lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Ra throws a leg kick but Burczynski moved away. Burczynski attempts a counter takedown but Ra avoids it well and moves away. Ra moves out of range of the leg kick from Burczynski. Ra throws out a counter right but Burczynski avoids it with no problem. Ra misses with a body shot.

so Burczynski counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Burczynski postures up in Ra's guard and throws a big left but Ra blocks it. Ra looking to hit a scissor sweep but Burczynski is one step ahead there.

Burczynski wants to control from the top but Ra keeps moving. Ra wants to sweep but no luck. Ra trying to keep a closed guard but Burczynski is proving a slippery customer.
Ra has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. Both fighters have adopted an aggressive gameplan on the ground! Ra working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Burczynski.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ra utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Ra keeping moving, preventing Burczynski from controlling successfully.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Ra smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. Ra throws a leg kick but Burczynski moved away. Ra misses with a wild body shot. Burczynski digs a good body shot into Ra's ribs. Ra misses with an uppercut. Burczynski saw that one coming. Ra just misses with a punch to the body.
Ra closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Ra prevents a takedown attempt there.

Ra fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Burczynski is out of range. Burczynski chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Ra can pounce on him.
Ra tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Burczynski is able to avoid easily. Burczynski lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Burczynski keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Burczynski lands a head shot. Burczynski scores with a leg kick.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Burczynski throws a front kick aimed at Ra's knee but Ra avoids it well. Ra throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Burczynski sees it coming and avoids it easily. Ra throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Burczynski has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Ra avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Ra tries to throw a body punch but Burczynski avoids it by throwing Ra back against the cage. Burczynski lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Ra backwards. The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Burczynski takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Both fighters working to control the clinch. Ra throws a punch but it's blocked by Burczynski. Ra tries to throw a body punch but Burczynski avoids it by throwing Ra back against the cage. Burczynski looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Ra blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Burczynski just leaning against Ra, taking a breather. Ra is trying to maintain a safe position but Burczynski gets an underhook and turns Ra into the cage. Ra's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Ra fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Burczynski manages to avoid it. Kamil Burczynski is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. The fighters circling - Burczynski throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Burczynski blocks a low kick nicely.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ra takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Ra scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Burczynski walks into a jab. Nice body kick from Burczynski. A looping hook to the body misses from Ra. Burczynski does a little dance to reset his feet. Burczynski lets loose with a powerful body kick. Ra will feel that in the morning. Amun Ra has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Burczynski on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Ra throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean. Burczynski half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. Burczynski dives in and scores a takedown into Ra's guard. Ra wants to sweep here but Burczynski controlling him for the moment. Ra being controlled here, momentarily. Burczynski is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Ra can do to turn this around?
That's four minutes gone in the round. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Burczynski wants to control from the top but Ra keeps moving. Burczynski won't allow Ra to sweep him here. Ra manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Burczynski manages to get himself to full guard.

And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Kamil Burczynski. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Burczynski, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent.
