Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 24 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Orkan Dogu!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 9 - 0, fighting out of New York, Calvin Tate!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Timothy Bukovac and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dogu throws a right hand that misses

so Tate counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Dogu trying to control the position.
Tate working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.
Dogu wants to sweep here but Tate controlling him for the moment.
Tate looking to sit in guard and control but Dogu gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Dogu accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Tate has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Dogu can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Dogu postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.

Tate wants to sweep here but Dogu controlling him for the moment.

Dogu postures up and lands a big shot to Tate's brow.
Dogu has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Tate is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Dogu slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Tate is looking to reverse the position.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Dogu has knee on belly and moves into mount.
Tate is desperately trying to improve his position but Dogu has a good base and remains in mount.

Tate keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

Tate tries to lock up and control but Dogu gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Tate is looking to improve his position but Dogu isn't that keen on the idea.
Tate sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Tate is not content to let Dogu control the position.
Dogu is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Tate trying to get back to full guard but Dogu takes advantage of the position and moves to full mount!

Dogu lands a big shot to the head and Tate winces in pain. He's tapped out due to strikes!
