Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Keneth Daniel! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Johnny Tsunami! The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Trevor Gratis and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sloppy strikes from Tsunami. Those never looked like landing. Daniel tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Tsunami manages to circle out of the way. Daniel takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
It looks like Keneth Daniel has been cut. Johnny Tsunami seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Tsunami misses with a combination
and Daniel counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Daniel pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Tsunami throws a combination that misses and Daniel counters with a flying knee. Nice. Daniel tries to close the distance and clinch up but Tsunami swats him away and circles back towards the center. Tsunami throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Tsunami misses with a series of wild punches.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Tsunami lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Daniel circles away quickly and effectively. Tsunami will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Daniel throws a quick counter kick to the body but Tsunami avoids it. Tsunami looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Tsunami throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

and Daniel counters with a right hand to the body. Tsunami throws a nice looking combination but Daniel bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Some wild striking there from Tsunami.

and Daniel counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Tsunami thinking. Tsunami throws a combination. Daniel tries to block but a couple of punches get through. Tsunami throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Daniel. Daniel wants to clinch. Tsunami bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.

Daniel moves forwards but Tsunami connects with a nice, crisp jab. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Tsunami throws a series of punches but Daniel moves out of range. Tsunami gets tackled into the cage by Daniel. Daniel maintains the clinch. Daniel drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Daniel really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Tsunami misses with the combination.

Tsunami throws a series of punches but Daniel moves out of range. Daniel throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Tsunami on the side of the head. Tsunami is looking to clinch. A combination from Tsunami does no damage. Keneth Daniel is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Tsunami throws a series of punches but Daniel moves out of range. Tsunami throws the left hand but Daniel avoids the punch easily. Tsunami throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Daniel counters with a big head kick but Tsunami shrugs it off. Tsunami looks winded! Tsunami fails to land with a series of punches.
Daniel darts in and clinches Tsunami up against the cage. Daniel jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Tsunami walks away with a smile on his face. Daniel gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Keneth Daniel. That's going to take a lot out of him. Tsunami steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Daniel. Tsunami misses with a double jab
and Daniel counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
That's four minutes gone in the round. This has been an exciting period of action! A punch combination from Tsunami misses. Daniel swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect. Daniel scores with a jab. Daniel slips a jab and a cross from Tsunami.

Tsunami gets the takedown into side control. Daniel manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Tsunami working over Daniel with some ground and pound. Daniel looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Daniel is on the bottom, trying to hold on to half guard. He's throwing a few small shots here, to keep his opponent honest. Tsunami stands up from half guard. Excellent takedown into side control there by Tsunami. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Johnny Tsunami dominated that round. The cut man is working on Keneth Daniel's cut. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

A combination from Tsunami does no damage. Tsunami shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Daniel manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Tsunami throwing strikes from guard but Daniel blocks nicely. Tsunami must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Tsunami is looking to work some ground and pound but Daniel has wrist control. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Daniel utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Tsunami throws a strike but Daniel rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Tsunami has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Tsunami wants to stand but Daniel is controlling the position. Daniel will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Tsunami pulls Daniel in close to prevent any damage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Daniel gets to his feet. Tsunami looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Daniel gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Tsunami prevents the takedown attempt.
Tsunami tries to break free but Daniel pushes him back against the cage. Tsunami breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Tsunami throws a right and a left that Daniel avoids nicely. Daniel moves into the clinch. Daniel has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Tsunami avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Tsunami stalling in the clinch but Daniel improves position. Daniel is trying to pull guard but Tsunami has him pressed against the cage. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Keneth Daniel. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Daniel has Tsunami pressed against the cage, preventing Tsunami from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Tsunami is trying to break the clinch but Daniel is controlling him. Tsunami drags the fight down to the ground.

Tsunami has been working his punching technique in the buildup to the fight and it appears to be paying off. Daniel looks to land a combination. Tsunami sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. Tsunami throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Daniel was covering up waiting for the punch and Tsunami finishes the takedown easily into guard. Daniel throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Tsunami throws an elbow that misses. Daniel uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Tsunami's guard. Nice move by Daniel!

Johnny Tsunami seems to be getting the better of the standup. Daniel lands with a shot to the body. Tsunami throws a series of punches but Daniel avoids them all with ease. Daniel fails with an attempt to clinch.

Daniel appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick. Tsunami tries to bum rush Daniel with a series of wild strikes but Daniel uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Daniel lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt. Daniel is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. Tsunami is looking to take this fight into the clinch. This has been an exciting period of action! Daniel drives through and clinches with Tsunami against the cage.
Keneth Daniel has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Tsunami misses with a short punch on the inside. Tsunami blocks an uppercut.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Keneth Daniel. I think Tsunami has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
