Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Marty Bell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kenneth Fann (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Marty Bell!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Kenneth Fann!
The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Roosa Järviläinen and Arvi Lind.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bell tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Fann misses with a takedown attempt - Bell sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Bell fails with an attempt to clinch.

Fann instigates a clinch.
Fann tries to pull guard but Bell won't allow it.
Fann lands with a light punch inside.

Fann lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.

Fann decides to return to a standing position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Horrible takedown attempt by Fann or perhaps it was just good defense by Bell, which made it look bad.
Marty Bell has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kenneth Fann.
No joy there for Fann, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Fann dives in and grabs Bell's left leg, looking for a takedown. Bell pushes down on Fann's head and hops out.
Bell doesn't manage to clinch there - Fann circles away.
Fann is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.

Bell tries to close the distance and clinch up but Fann swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Despite the aggression on Fann's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.

Bell breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Fann shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Bell counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Fann is looking to break free of the clinch but Bell has double underhooks.

Bell slowing the pace effectively.

Bell defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Fann.

Fann throws a lazy head kick
and Bell counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

Bell rushes Fann and presses him up against the cage.
Fann blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Fann lands on the inside with an uppercut.
Bell has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Fann is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Bell is struggling to control the position.
Bell lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Fann.

Fann is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Bell can't fight it off and eventually Fann manages to take the fight to the floor. Bell looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Fann works a leg free and moves into half guard.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Fann lands a nice short elbow.
Fann trying to control from half guard but Bell is working away.
Bell is positioning himself well to prevent Fann advancing to mount.
Bell is staying active underneath Fann, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Bell is trying to control but Fann passes into side control!

Fann stands up.

Bell is looking to clinch.
Fann swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Fann with a lazy takedown attempt
and Bell counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

Fann drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Fann throwing strikes from guard but Bell blocks nicely.
Fann controls from within his opponent's guard.
Fann postures up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kenneth Fann dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Bell wants to clinch up but Fann keeps it at a distance.
Fann with a poor takedown
and Bell counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Fann is lucky that one didn't land flush.

Fann fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Bell, pushing him back against the cage.
Fann is trying to break free.
Fann stalling the fight.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
Fann receives a warning from the referee for stalling.

Fann ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Fann no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Bell postures up in Fann's guard and throws a big left but Fann blocks it.

Fann is looking for a triangle but Bell pushes his legs off easily.
Bell throws a big elbow that misses.

Fann controls Bell momentarily but Bell frees himself.
Bell throws a strike but Fann rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.


Fann gets to his feet. Bell looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
The fight stays on the outside here - Bell looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Fann steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Bell.

Fann has taken the fight to the clinch.

Fann pulls guard effortlessly.

Bell trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Fann tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Bell throws an elbow that misses. Fann uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Bell's guard. Nice move by Fann!

Bell will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Fann is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Bell is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Bell has escaped and now he's on top!

Fann throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.

Fann controls Bell momentarily but Bell frees himself.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Bell accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Fann avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Fann controlling the position.
Bell postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Fann punching from the bottom.
Fann pulls Bell in to control the position.
Fann bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Bell's guard.

Bell is trying to control the position but Fann postures up.
Fann stays in close to Bell's body and controls the position.
Kenneth Fann has got the better of the ground game so far.
Bell wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Fann manages to pass to side control.
Bell wants to improve his position but Fann is controlling well.
Bell really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Fann wants to control but Bell is keeping him busy.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kenneth Fann showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Bell's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Bell gets tackled into the cage by Fann. Fann maintains the clinch.
Bell changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Fann fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Kenneth Fann seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Bell has closed the distance and engaged Fann in a clinch.

Fann is trying to trip Bell. He has hold of a leg but Bell is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Fann persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
Fann is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Fann is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Fann is trying to keep Bell in close.

Fann isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Bell stacks Fann on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Bell!
Fann is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

Bell sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Fann is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Fann throws an elbow to the body but it doesn't land.
Fann isn't going anywhere.

Fann throws Bell to one side and escapes!

Bell tries to clinch but Fann moves out of range.
Fann throws a push kick but Bell slaps the foot to one side.
Bell was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
Fann has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Bell tries to close the distance and clinch up but Fann swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Nice sprawl there from Bell as Fann shoots in.

Bell swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.

Fann tries to score a power double leg takedown but Bell sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Fann somewhat.

And that's the end of the fight!
Kenneth Fann comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Fann winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
