Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
14 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Bagong Buhay! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
11 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Greer Leonardson! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Tiny Johnson and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Leonardson closes the distance and clinches. Leonardson lands with a light punch inside. Leonardson stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
A short uppercut from Leonardson. Leonardson lands a nice shot to the body. We've been hearing reports that Buhay has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight. A right hook to the body lands for Leonardson.
Buhay fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Buhay jumps guard but Leonardson stands there with Buhay around his waist. Buhay gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Leonardson takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. Buhay jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Leonardson walks away with a smile on his face. Buhay gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bagong Buhay. That's going to take a lot out of him. Leonardson tries to clinch and Buhay counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Leonardson ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Buhay moves away. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Leonardson lands a big head kick that sends Buhay tumbling to the mat! Leonardson takes a step backwards and waves Buhay back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Buhay is rocked!
It looks like Bagong Buhay has been cut. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Buhay tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Leonardson was well out of range. Poor timing from Buhay. Oh Buhay is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Buhay misses with a double jab
and Leonardson counters with a series of strikes that practically lifts Buhay off his feet! He tumbles backwards, his head bouncing off the mat - Leonardson follows up with more strikes before the ref can step in but Buhay was out before he hit the floor.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Greer Leonardson! During a confident post fight interview, Greer Leonardson thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him. In defeat, Bagong Buhay stepped up to the mic, saying 'I already fought the toughest guys here in DFC and I ain't ashamed that I lost to these top guys but with a 3 fight losing streak I think this is it for me.'.
