Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Ricky White! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Ben Anders! The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Aafke Stam and Paul Aken.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! White scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Anders doesn't seem bothered though. White tries for a takedown but Anders sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. White gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Anders won't allow White to sweep him here. Anders controls from within his opponent's guard. Anders trying to control the position from guard on top but White is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. White is trying to keep Anders in close.
White is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Anders is controlling him.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Anders tries to clinch up but White circles away and keeps his distance. The fight stays on the outside here - White looks like he's thinking about clinching though. White throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Anders changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. White looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Anders wants to counter the offense by White and move into the clinch position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. White misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

My spies in Cozad Amsterdam inform me that Anders has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends! Anders controlling from the top position. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Anders rushes White and presses him up against the cage. Anders is trying to maintain a safe position but White gets an underhook and turns Anders into the cage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. White lands with a right to the head.

White is looking to break free of the clinch but Anders has double underhooks. Anders tries to pull guard but White won't allow it.

Anders throws a sloppy head kick and White moves out of range easily. Anders defends well against a solid takedown attempt from White. White shoots and misses and Anders counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. White fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Anders avoids it really well and circles away.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Anders gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. A left hand lands to the body for White.

Anders missing with a left hand there. White was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. White drops down looking for a counter takedown but Anders sprawls and moves away. Anders fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Anders tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but White swivels and escapes. White gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Anders counters with a stiff right hand. White darts in looking for a takedown but Anders gets double underhooks and turns White into the cage. Anders goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. White does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. White shoots in but Anders avoids the takedown attempt easily. Despite the aggression on Anders's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter. Anders throws a right and a left that both miss. Ricky White is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Anders blocks a head kick by White.
Anders darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Anders frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Anders trying to control but he's not successful this time. White is trying to escape the mount.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Anders with a couple of short strikes. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ben Anders showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

White is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Anders controls the position. White can't do much from the bottom here. White stops Anders from passing to mount.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Anders is looking to take a break and control but White is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. White is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Anders is one step ahead and moves to full mount! White taking shots to the head. Anders is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Anders extends the arm and White is forced to tap!
