Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bjorn Ragnarsson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hessu Suihkija (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Suihkija has chosen Limp Bizkit - Break Stuff as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bjorn Ragnarsson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Hessu Suihkija! The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Donald Grub and Andrew Berry.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Suihkija shoots in for a takedown but Ragnarsson shows good takedown defense. Ragnarsson throws a quick counter kick to the body but Suihkija avoids it. Ragnarsson lands a jab to Suihkija's midsection. Suihkija goes for a double leg but Ragnarsson avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Ragnarsson continues to drive forward. Suihkija shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Ragnarsson but Ragnarsson pushes him off and we're back to square one. Bjorn Ragnarsson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Hessu Suihkija. Nice sprawl there from Ragnarsson as Suihkija shoots in. Ragnarsson swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect. Good shot there by Ragnarsson.
It looks like Hessu Suihkija has been cut. Ragnarsson throws a front kick aimed at Suihkija's knee but Suihkija avoids it well. Ragnarsson clinches. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ragnarsson is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body. Ragnarsson effectively controlling the action here. Suihkija is working for takedown but Ragnarsson is calmly controlling the position for now. Ragnarsson throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges. I was talking to Ragnarsson's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight. Suihkija tries to score a body lock takedown but Ragnarsson shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Ragnarsson digs a right hand underneath Suihkija's ribcage. Suihkija let out a lung full of air as it connected.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ragnarsson unloads a knee to the mid-section. Suihkija lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh. Suihkija looks winded! Ragnarsson lands a left hand.

Ragnarsson stalls. Ragnarsson digs a right hand into Suihkija's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Suihkija's gas tank. Ragnarsson lands with a short head shot on the inside. Ragnarsson scores with a shoulder strike. With the fighters clinched against the cage, Ragnarsson creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Ragnarsson takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. Suihkija takes a knee right on the jaw!
Ragnarsson lands with a short shot to the head. This has been an exciting period of action! A short right from Ragnarsson. Ragnarsson lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Suihkija backwards. Ragnarsson is pressed up against the cage. Suihkija has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Ragnarsson down to the mat. Ragnarsson avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Suihkija moves out of range of the leg kick from Ragnarsson. Suihkija on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Ragnarsson. Ragnarsson obviously looking to wear him down.
Nice straight punches there by Ragnarsson. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Ragnarsson.
Suihkija is rocked!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ragnarsson is looking to score with low kicks. Suihkija shoots in for a double leg but Ragnarsson sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. As Suihkija tries to get set, Ragnarsson tries to push him back and clinch up but Suihkija manages to avoid the attempt. Suihkija stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Ragnarsson. Ragnarsson throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Suihkija shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Ragnarsson counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Ragnarsson. Ragnarsson pushes Suihkija back against the cage and unloads with a body punch. Suihkija is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Ragnarsson stalls. Knees in the clinch landing for Ragnarsson.
Ragnarsson gets underhooks to prevent Suihkija's takedown attempt.
Ragnarsson lands a shoulder strike.
That has opened up Hessu Suihkija's cut even more. Suihkija takes a shot to the head.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ragnarsson tries a knee to the head but Suihkija blocks it.

Ragnarsson leaning his opponent against the cage. Ragnarsson drops Suihkija with a big knee straight up the middle! Suihkija is covering up against the cage but manages to escape and gets back to his feet! Suihkija is still on wobbly legs! Can Ragnarsson finish him? Good leg kick by Ragnarsson there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Suihkija seems to have recovered his senses. Suihkija shoots in for a takedown but Ragnarsson shows good takedown defense. A bone on bone clash there as Suihkija blocks the leg kick.
Suihkija dives in and grabs Ragnarsson's left leg, looking for a takedown. Ragnarsson pushes down on Suihkija's head and hops out. Ragnarsson lands a nice looking kick to the body. Suihkija takes a step back to recover. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Suihkija tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Ragnarsson defends well and Suihkija ends up having to push Ragnarsson into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Suihkija drops his hands momentarily and Ragnarsson needs no second invitation. He sets himself and throws a perfect high kick, that clips Suihkija just on the top of the head. Suihkija drops like a sack of potatoes to the canvas, out cold! Oooooooh yeah! Stick a fork in Suihkija - he's done!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Bjorn Ragnarsson! Bjorn Ragnarsson thanked the fans post fight for their support. In defeat, Hessu Suihkija stepped up to the mic, saying 'Got the number of that bus?'.
