Devlin comes to the cage accompanied by Encore. Tanner Devlin could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Walter Lanister's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Tanner Devlin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Walter Lanister!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lanister scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Lanister fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Devlin manages to avoid it.
It looked like Devlin wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Lanister scores with a punch to the head.
Lanister tries for a takedown but Devlin sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Devlin keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Devlin was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Lanister lands a body shot.
Lanister misses with a two punch combination.
Walter Lanister seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Lanister throws a push kick but Devlin slaps the foot to one side.
It looked like Devlin wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.

Lanister shoots in and drives through. Devlin sprawls well.
Tanner Devlin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Walter Lanister.

Lanister looks to land a combination but Devlin avoids it well.

and Lanister is countered with a crisp right hand from Devlin that sends him to the canvas! Devlin follows him to the mat into side control.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Lanister is still in real trouble! Can Devlin finish him?
Lanister is letting Devlin control him for a moment.
Lanister seems to have recovered his senses.
Devlin prevents Lanister from escaping the position.

Lanister wants to control but Devlin postures up.
Devlin is staying tight to Lanister's torso, preventing him from escaping.
Lanister is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Devlin has just dragged him back down to the mat.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Lanister swings widly with a right hand
and Devlin connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Lanister connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Devlin blocks a head kick by Lanister.
An attempted straight right counter from Devlin misses the target.
No luck for Lanister with that takedown attempt.
Devlin swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.

Lanister throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Devlin.
Devlin was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Lanister catches Devlin with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

and Devlin counters with a big uppercut that knocks Lanister off his feet! Devlin dives into side control looking to finish!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Lanister tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Devlin wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Devlin takes a little break here. Lanister wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Devlin working away.
Devlin is staying tight to Lanister's torso, preventing him from escaping.
Lanister tries to get back to half guard but can't.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Tanner Devlin dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Lanister throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Lanister connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Devlin's hands.
Lanister throws a one two combo.

Lanister drives through and clinches with Devlin against the cage.
Devlin is looking for a takedown.

Devlin gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
Lanister looking to control but Devlin passes into half guard.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Lanister pushes Devlin off looking to stand but Devlin dives back in and keeps control.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Lanister wants to get back to full guard but Devlin has passed into side control.
Devlin is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Lanister's shoulder. That is not cool.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Lanister struggling a bit here.
Devlin is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Lanister can do to turn this around?
Lanister is pushing Devlin's head away, looking to escape. Devlin manages to hold on to the position though.
Devlin controlling the position from side mount.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Lanister struggling a bit here.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Devlin controls the position from side control.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Lanister swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Devlin moves out of range as Lanister strikes.
Lanister misses with an uppercut. Devlin saw that one coming.
Lanister throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Lanister gets a clinch.
Devlin gets underhooks to prevent Lanister's takedown attempt.
Lanister is breathing heavily.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Devlin is trying to drag Lanister to the mat but Lanister just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Lanister's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Lanister misses with a double jab
and Devlin counters with a nice uppercut.
Lanister misses the jab.
Devlin swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Lanister scores with a crisp jab that stopped Devlin in his tracks.
A shot to the liver by Lanister. Beautiful body shot.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Devlin blocks the body kick.
A little feinted left hand from Devlin on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Devlin closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Lanister swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Devlin connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Devlin moves away from the strike by Lanister.
Devlin swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.

Lanister forces Devlin back against the cage and clinches.
Devlin stops a takedown attempt from Lanister.
Devlin changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Lanister fights it off and pushes away nicely.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tanner Devlin. That's going to take a lot out of him.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Devlin ducks under a wild hook from Lanister.
Devlin slips under a jab from Lanister.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Walter Lanister showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Walter Lanister seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Lanister swings for the body but Devlin moves out of range.
A low kick from Lanister misses
and Devlin counters with a huge left! Lanister is in big trouble! He's backing up but Devlin isn't giving him chance to recover. Under a barage of punches the ref has to step in to save Lanister from any more damage. A dominating finish by Devlin!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:18 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Tanner Devlin!
During a confident post fight interview, Tanner Devlin thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
