Vega steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Pecker. That one must have hurt.
Pecker tries to land a front kick but Vega steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Vega takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Vega drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Pecker throws a sloppy head kick and Vega moves out of range easily.
Pecker feints and then cracks Vega's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Vega down.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Wood Pecker dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Vega takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.
Pecker thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Vega if he has to take too many more of those.

Pecker lands a nice hook to Vega's body. Vega takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Pecker rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Vega moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
It looked like Vega was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Pecker.
Pecker has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Pecker buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Pecker connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Pecker tries to close the distance and clinch up but Vega swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Vega has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Pecker finds it's way round the side to connect with Vega's head.
Pecker pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Pecker tests Vega's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Pecker fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Vega has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Pecker slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Pecker lands a brutal head kick. Vega looks out on his feet and Pecker throws more strikes until the ref is forced to stop the fight!

Wood Pecker decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
