The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gordon fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Slate, pushing him back against the cage.
The referee is keeping an eye on Gordon - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Gordon lands an elbow just above Slate 's eye.
It looks like Nicky Slate has been cut.
