Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Devin Jaqquard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kusi Amuo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Jaqquard might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Rebirthing-Skillet. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Amuo swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Amuo uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Jaqquard takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. We've been hearing reports that Jaqquard has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight. Jaqquard lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
It looks like Kusi Amuo has been cut. Jaqquard with a nice cross. Jaqquard misses with a jab, cross combination.
Jaqquard avoids the body shot from Amuo.
Amuo throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Amuo takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Amuo is rocked! I'm just looking down at my notes here and I see that.... oh! Jaqquard has cracked Amuo with a big right, followed by a left! He's out on his feet! Jaqquard lands another huge swinging hook and Amuo tumbles to the canvas! The ref dives in to save Amuo, before Jaqquard can land any more shots!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:29 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Devin Jaqquard! Devin Jaqquard retains his bantamweight title! Post fight, an emotional Devin Jaqquard said 'They say you really cant call yourself champ unless you can defend your belt. I'm glad i defended my 1st one succesfully. it didnt come without a challenge though. Kusi is a hellava fighter, he has great standup and a great motor. I felt his desire to win tonight but im just glad i pulled it off'.
