The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
An inside leg kick lands from Taco.
Brad Schmitt seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Schmitt takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Taco connects with an inside leg kick.
Schmitt dives in for a single leg takedown but Taco sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the ropes.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Taco feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Schmitt's calf.

Taco has been working on his boxing with his coaches at World Combat Gym - NY in the buildup to the fight.

Taco stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Taco wants it to stay on the feet.

Schmitt drops his hands momentarily and Taco needs no second invitation. He sets himself and throws a perfect high kick, that clips Schmitt just on the top of the head. Schmitt drops like a sack of potatoes to the canvas, out cold! Oooooooh yeah! Stick a fork in Schmitt - he's done!
