Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sean Ripgut (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Estefan Sanchez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sanchez has chosen Foo Fighters- My Hero as his entrance music. Estefan Sanchez acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
30 - 13 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sean Ripgut! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Estefan Sanchez! The judges for this bout are Josh West, Jeff Smith and Chris Saunders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sanchez feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Ripgut's calf. Sanchez looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Ripgut throwing a counter right hand but Sanchez manages to avoid it. Sanchez lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
It looks like Sean Ripgut has been cut. Ripgut tries to clinch but Sanchez moves out of range. Horrible takedown attempt by Ripgut or perhaps it was just good defense by Sanchez, which made it look bad. Ripgut showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Sanchez.
Sanchez has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Ripgut is landing a low percentage of strikes. Ripgut shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Ripgut throws a big right hand that misses. Sanchez really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Ripgut. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Sanchez utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Sanchez wriggles free and stands up. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Sanchez throws a wild body kick that Ripgut sees coming a mile off. Ripgut tries to counter with a takedown but Sanchez is quick to defend against it. Sanchez lands a head kick. Ripgut smiles back at him and beckons him forward. Sanchez defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Ripgut. Ripgut shoots for a takedown but Sanchez saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Sanchez lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Sean Ripgut. That's going to take a lot out of him. Sanchez throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Ripgut is trying hard to land a takedown here. Sanchez sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Sanchez throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Ripgut blocks a head kick by Sanchez.

Ripgut looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Sanchez is fending him off so far but Ripgut persists. Nope, Sanchez circles away and we're back to standing. Sanchez lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected. Sanchez throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.

The fight moves into the clinch position. Ripgut blocks the elbow strike.
Sanchez throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
Ripgut tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Sanchez smiles and moves away.
Ripgut shoots in looking for a takedown but Sanchez manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Ripgut's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Sanchez is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own. Ripgut will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Sanchez will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Ripgut on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Sanchez misses with a hook. Sanchez throws a series of strikes that have Ripgut backpedaling.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Ripgut gets the takedown into side control. Ripgut working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Ripgut is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Sanchez has escaped the position, nice work there. Ripgut tries for a kimura but Sanchez is defending well. Sanchez is trying to improve his position. Sanchez throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done! Ripgut walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. A combination from Sanchez does no damage.

Sanchez tries to bum rush Ripgut with a series of wild strikes but Ripgut uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Sanchez misses with a two punch combination.
Sanchez throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Ripgut shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Sanchez but Sanchez pushes him off and we're back to square one. Sanchez fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Ripgut rushes Sanchez and presses him up against the cage. Ripgut prevents the takedown attempt.
Ripgut tries to score a body lock takedown but Sanchez shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Ripgut is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Sanchez pulls him back up using the underhooks. Sanchez is trying to push Ripgut away but Ripgut has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Sanchez lands a body shot in the clinch.
Ripgut is looking to take this one to the mat. Sanchez gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Ripgut.
Ripgut has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Sanchez is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Sanchez pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Sanchez gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Ripgut being controlled here momentarily. Ripgut makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Ripgut in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Ripgut is in close to Sanchez's body, working some short punches and elbows. Sanchez controls Ripgut momentarily but Ripgut frees himself. Ripgut throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Ripgut missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Sanchez has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Ripgut has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage. The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Sanchez breaks the clinch.

Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Sanchez! Ripgut is looking for a sweep. Sanchez tries to score with some ground and pound. Ripgut controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage. Ripgut is looking to reverse the position. Sanchez decides to stand back up. Sanchez steps back and let's Ripgut get back to his feet. Horrible takedown attempt by Ripgut or perhaps it was just good defense by Sanchez, which made it look bad. Ripgut steps over the head and cranks it - Sanchez is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Ripgut!
