The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Macias dives in for a single leg takedown but Joe sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Macias shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Joe trying to control but Macias postures up.
Joe slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Macias avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Macias got a little sloppy there for a moment and Joe has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Macias has managed to get both his arms back between Joe's legs - danger averted.
Macias knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Joe on the ground.

Joe looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Macias is defending well. Joe quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Macias has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Joe celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.

Rodeo Joe decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
