Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Wrestlefuck Wrestling (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sam Rogers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

12 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Wrestlefuck Wrestling! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
20 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sam Rogers! The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Chris Downing and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wrestling steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Rogers. Wrestling looks to score with a jab to the body but Rogers is just out of range. Rogers will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Wrestling misses with a hook
and Rogers counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Wrestling misses with a looping right. Rogers drives through with a takedown into Wrestling's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. Rogers throws a big right hand that misses. Wrestling tries to land a sweep but no joy. Rogers passes Wrestling's left leg - he's now in half guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Wrestling is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Rogers throws a strike but Wrestling avoids it easily and moves to full guard.

My spies in LOD: Stockton Cardio inform me that Rogers has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends! The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Rogers gets a double leg takedown into Wrestling's guard. Rogers lands a couple of decent looking shots. Wrestling preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Rogers scoring with punches to the head and body. Wrestling is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Rogers working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Wrestling avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Wrestling tries to land a sweep but no joy.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rogers lands a couple of decent looking shots. Wrestling is controlling Rogers's posture. Wrestling on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Wrestling tries to get out of the position. Rogers trying to control the position from guard on top but Wrestling is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Rogers fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Wrestling avoids it really well and circles away. Rogers changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Wrestling tries to avoid it but Rogers manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Wrestling to the ground. Wrestling escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. It looked like Wrestling was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Rogers. Wrestlefuck Wrestling has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sam Rogers. Rogers swings for the body but Wrestling moves out of range.

Wrestling seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance. Rogers waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Wrestling. Rogers fails with the takedown.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Rogers shoots in but no luck this time. Wrestling leaves Rogers with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Rogers manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Wrestling on his heels. He'll look to pass Wrestling's guard now, I'm sure. Rogers throwing strikes but missing. Wrestling keeping moving, preventing Rogers from controlling successfully. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Rogers throws a big elbow that misses. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Sam Rogers dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
A telegraphed right hand from Wrestling misses the target. Wrestling lands an overhand right. Wrestling throws a body punch but Rogers moves out of range. Rogers with the counter takedown but Wrestling avoids it easily. Nice defenses there by Wrestling. Rogers shoots and misses and Wrestling counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Rogers tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Wrestling defends well and Rogers ends up having to push Wrestling into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Wrestling is looking for a counter combo. Wrestlefuck Wrestling has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sam Rogers. Rogers fails miserably with a takedown attempt. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Wrestling throws the left hand but Rogers avoids the punch easily. Rogers shoots in looking for a takedown but Wrestling manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Rogers's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Rogers misses with a takedown attempt and Wrestling counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Wrestling ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Wrestling misses with a few strikes there.
Rogers looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Wrestling seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym. Wrestlefuck Wrestling is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Wrestling lunges at Rogers with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Rogers's hand. Rogers throws an off balance right hand
and Wrestling counters with a nice body shot. Rogers tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Wrestling swivels and escapes. Wrestlefuck Wrestling is winning the standup battle so far.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wrestling throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Rogers changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Wrestling tries to avoid it but Rogers manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Wrestling to the ground. Wrestling escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Rogers closes the distance and clinches up with Wrestling, looking for a takedown. Rogers pushes Wrestling against the cage but Wrestling circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Rogers fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Rogers is breathing heavily. Wrestling tests Rogers's chin there with a solid looking shot. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Wrestling listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut. Rogers has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Wrestling finds it's way round the side to connect with Rogers's head. Wrestling with a body punch. A glancing blow. Rogers shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Wrestling is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Rogers. Wrestling is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Rogers can do to turn this around? Wrestling scores with a jab. Wrestling misses the jab.

And Rogers tries to counter it with a takedown but Wrestling pushes his down on his head and steps out. Wrestling keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Rogers throws a body shot but no joy. Wrestling throws a body punch but Rogers moves out of range. Rogers with a poor takedown and Wrestling counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Rogers takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Wrestling throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Nice sprawl there from Wrestling as Rogers shoots in. That's three minutes gone in the round. Wrestling blocking the ground and pound attempt from Rogers. Wrestling works his way to full guard. Good work. Wrestling is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Rogers cracks Wrestling with a solid left hand. Wrestling has Rogers pulled in close to control his posture. Rogers connects with a couple of short punches. Rogers trying to control but Wrestling is working from the bottom.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Rogers tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Wrestling defends well and Rogers ends up having to push Wrestling into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Rogers takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Rogers shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Wrestling but Wrestling pushes him off and we're back to square one.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Wrestlefuck Wrestling. I think Wrestling has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
