Coming up we have a heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Harry Gash (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Russel Hobbs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Russel Hobbs has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Harry Gash! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Russel Hobbs! The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, David Hoff and Santiago Holmes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gash with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Hobbs to score with a decent uppercut. Gash displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Hobbs throws out the jab. Hobbs takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Gash throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Gash swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Gash tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Hobbs appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body. Gash tries to close the distance and clinch up but Hobbs swats him away and circles back towards the center. A chopping leg kick lands by Hobbs. Gash tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Hobbs was well out of range. Poor timing from Gash. Hobbs feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Gash's calf. Hobbs slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Gash tries to clinch but Hobbs is having none of it. Hobbs lands the left hand. Hobbs thumps Gash with a low kick. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Hobbs scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Hobbs avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Gash takes a swing at Hobbs's ribcage but misses. Hobbs avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Nice uppercut lands for Hobbs. That snapped Gash's head back.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gash throws a looping overhand right but Hobbs ducks down to avoid it. Harry Gash seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Hobbs fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Gash is looking to wear down Hobbs with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment. Hobbs takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Hobbs scores with a nice head shot. Hobbs wants to slow Gash down by chopping away at his legs. Hobbs cracks Gash with a good jab. Some bone on bone action there as Gash checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. Gash scores with a shot to the body.
Hobbs shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
It looks like Russel Hobbs has been cut. Gash lands a right hook to the body.
A leg kick checked by Gash. Gash throws a body shot but no joy. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Gash takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Gash scores with a jab to the jaw. Hobbs has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight. Gash digs a good hook to Hobbs's body.
Gash takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A shot to the liver by Gash. Beautiful body shot. Hobbs looks winded! Gash thuds a left hand into Hobbs's body. Hobbs is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Gash just misses with a punch to the body.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Hobbs. A little feinted left hand from Gash on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. Gash looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio. Gash wants to clinch. Hobbs tries a quick counter leg kick but Gash is wise to it. Hobbs walks into a jab. Gash moves in looking to clinch but Hobbs pushes him off. Gash wants to clinch. Hobbs pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Gash ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hobbs avoids the body shot from Gash.
Hobbs replies with a solid counter kick to the body but Gash blocks it well. Hobbs keeps the fight on the outside. Hobbs takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Gash comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Gash tries to clinch but Hobbs is having none of it. Gash throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Gash tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Hobbs was well out of range. Poor timing from Gash. Gash fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Hobbs manages to avoid it. Gash cracks Hobbs with a good jab. Hobbs throws a quick inside leg kick. Gash throws a lazy right hand but Hobbs sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Gash lands with a hook. Hobbs tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Hobbs takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Hobbs is rocked! Gash fails with an attempt to clinch.
A head kick misses from Hobbs. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Gash connects with a quick right hand that sends Hobbs tumbling backwards onto the canvas! As his head bounces into the cage, it doesn't look good for him beating the count! 3,4,5,6,7 and he's up! No, he's back down again! This one is all over - the referee has called off the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punch). Harry Gash!
