Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 15 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Dane Kane!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Drew Jitsu!
The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Aleksandr Martynov and Dmitry Maklakov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jitsu feints and as Kane raises his hands in defense, Jitsu changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Jitsu drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Kane manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Jitsu has Kane in his guard.


Jitsu has his foot on Kane's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Kane works his way back into a safe position though.

Kane will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Kane is trying to work for a kimura but Jitsu is defending well.

Jitsu is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Kane pulls his head out easily.

Jitsu has guillotine here! It looks pretty tight! Could this be all over! No, Kane escapes and passes into side control at the same time. Nice work there by Kane!

Kane knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Jitsu on the ground.

Jitsu tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops.

Jitsu looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Jitsu is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Kane.

Kane is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Jitsu knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Jitsu for a finish.

That was a close round but I would say that Dane Kane will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.



Jitsu shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Kane is trying to defend but Jitsu finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Jitsu is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Kane doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Jitsu.

Jitsu maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Kane could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Jitsu has cracked it and Kane is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Jitsu!
