Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Harriet Marshall (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Azinho Solomon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Harriet Marshall! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Azinho Solomon! The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, Sandra Marshall and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Solomon misses with a hook. Marshall tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Solomon manages to circle out of the way. Solomon looking to score a takedown here. Marshall is defending well but Solomon drives through and ends up in Marshall's guard. Marshall trying to keep a closed guard but Solomon is proving a slippery customer.
Solomon throws a big elbow that misses. Marshall on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Marshall tries to get out of the position. Solomon is nestled in close to Marshall, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Solomon not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Solomon is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Marshall doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Solomon throws out a loose jab but Marshall uses good head movement to avoid it. It looked like Marshall wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Marshall shoots in for a double leg but Solomon sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Solomon swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Solomon throws a jab but it's blocked by Marshall. Marshall stuffs the takedown. Marshall shoots in looking for a takedown. Solomon tries to sprawl out of it but Marshall keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Solomon manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Marshall misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Marshall shoots for a double leg takedown but Solomon sprawls well. He's pushed Marshall's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Harriet Marshall. That's going to take a lot out of him. Marshall displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Solomon throws out the jab. Marshall throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Solomon sees it coming and avoids it easily. Solomon throws a big shot that misses. Marshall uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Solomon. Solomon fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Marshall to the ground. Solomon is now in Marshall's guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Solomon slips nicely into half guard. Nice strikes from Solomon there. Solomon not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Solomon winds up and cracks Marshall with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Solomon stalling. Solomon's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Solomon scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Marshall actively working from the bottom here. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Marshall is not content to let Solomon control the position. Solomon is taking a breather. Marshall says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Solomon throwing shots but Marshall is blocking nicely. Solomon slips a nice elbow through Marshall's hands, connecting with Marshall's forehead. Marshall is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Solomon winds up and cracks Marshall with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Solomon is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Azinho Solomon dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Marshall walks into a left hand. Solomon rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Marshall counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Solomon should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Solomon pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Solomon tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Solomon jabbing away but nothing is landing. Solomon throws a hook but Marshall avoids it easily. Solomon might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable. Marshall bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Marshall shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Solomon defends it nicely. Solomon thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Marshall wants to control but Solomon postures up. Marshall is defending well but Solomon drives through and ends up in Marshall's guard. Solomon engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Solomon works his way back into a safe position though. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Solomon postures up in Marshall's guard and throws a big left but Marshall blocks it.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Azinho Solomon is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Solomon feints the counter takedown. Solomon misses with a hook. Solomon is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Marshall's half guard. Solomon controlling the action here. Let's hope that Solomon has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
