The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yamashita jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.

It looks like Robert Van De Velde has been cut.
Van De Velde looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

Yamashita tries to work over Van De Velde's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Van De Velde digs a right hand into Yamashita's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Yamashita's gas tank.
