The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Goodman rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Lewis moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Lewis feinted with a counter takedown.
Goodman tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Lewis was well out of range. Poor timing from Goodman.
Goodman moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.

It looks like Dereck Lewis has been cut.
Lewis ducks under a wild hook from Goodman.
Lewis swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Goodman misses with a jab, cross combination.
Goodman connects with a jab.
Goodman misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Lewis changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Goodman, as that shot connected.
Lewis takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

and Lewis counters with a takedown into side control.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Goodman is trying to escape the position but Lewis is controlling the position.

Lewis will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

That was a close second round but I would say that Dereck Lewis will probably get the nod.
