The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Roosa Järviläinen and Anni Minnemäki.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kiviniemi tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Gunnarson paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Gunnarson connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Kiviniemi's hands.
It looks like Joonas Kiviniemi has been cut.
Gunnarson lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Gunnarson cracks Kiviniemi on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Kiviniemi falls backwards against the cage. Gunnarson follows up with more strikes that drop Kiviniemi to his knees. Gunnarson keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Kiviniemi! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:15 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Roope Gunnarson!
