Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Clark Griswold (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pedro Aristides Leopoldo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Griswold comes to the cage accompanied by NATIONAL LAMPOON'S VACATION. Leopoldo has chosen Carmina Burana - Carl Orff as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Albert Achterberg and Wagner Zegers.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Griswold pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Griswold lands with a kick to the temple. Leopoldo shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

It looks like Pedro Aristides Leopoldo has been cut.
Leopoldo fails with a takedown attempt.
Griswold ducks under a wild hook from Leopoldo.
Leopoldo lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Griswold at a distance.
Griswold tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Leopoldo manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
A swing and a miss from Griswold.
Griswold misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Leopoldo misses with a wild combination.
Griswold punishes Leopoldo's body with a nice straight punch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Griswold takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Griswold takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Leopoldo throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Griswold.
Griswold swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Leopoldo loads up on a big right hand but Griswold slips the punch.
Griswold tries to clinch up but Leopoldo circles away and keeps his distance.

Clark Griswold is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Griswold throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Leopoldo on the side of the head.
Leopoldo swings for the body but Griswold moves out of range.

Griswold wants to clinch.
Leopoldo throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
No luck for Leopoldo with that takedown attempt.
Leopoldo takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
A slapping leg kick lands for Griswold.
We've been told by Griswold's head coaches at Vale Tudo that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Leopoldo tries to move into range but Griswold moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Leopoldo misses with a straight left.
Griswold went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Leopoldo moves forwards but Griswold connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Leopoldo misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Griswold's corner calls for a 1-2. Griswold obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

That has opened up Pedro Aristides Leopoldo's cut even more.
Griswold scores with a punch to the head.
Leopoldo fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Griswold manages to avoid it.
Griswold listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
Griswold slips a straight right by Leopoldo.
A good leg kick by Griswold.
Griswold connects with a good right hand that stumbles Leopoldo. Leopoldo circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
BOOM! Griswold lands a beautiful left hook that drops Leopoldo. Leopoldo tries to recover but Griswold is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Leopoldo lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Clark Griswold!
