Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rodrigo Silva!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Chris Johnson!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Mauricio Rocha and Thiago Cunha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva tries a head kick but it misses.
Johnson tries to clinch up against the ropes, rushing in to close the distance. Silva manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
A jab from Silva misses.
Johnson doesn't manage to clinch there - Silva circles away.
Silva takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Johnson wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Johnson jabs at Silva's body.
Silva goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Silva misses with a head kick.
Johnson throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Silva on the side of the head.
Johnson moves in looking to clinch but Silva pushes him off.
Johnson tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Silva tries a head kick but it misses.
Johnson lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Johnson fails with an attempt to clinch.
Johnson throws the kick towards the body but Silva avoids it.
Silva was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Nice jab there from Johnson.
Johnson misses with a head kick.
Silva looks to throw the jab but Johnson is out of range.
Johnson tries to clinch but Silva moves out of range.
Silva throws a head kick that misses.
Silva pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Johnson throws a counter combo.
Johnson digs a good hook to Silva's body.
Silva takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Silva throws a quick counter head kick but Johnson was just out of range.
Johnson feints a jab promting Silva to slip. Johnson then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Silva slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Johnson throws a half hearted mid kick.
Johnson doesn't manage to clinch there - Silva circles away.
Silva appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Nice body punch from Johnson.
Silva misses with an uppercut
and Johnson counters with a three punch combo that has Silva backing up. Silva nods at Johnson to acknowledge the strikes.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Oh Silva is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Silva is breathing heavily.
Johnson lands a right and a left and another right! Silva goes down! Oh, he's in big, big trouble! 3,4,5,6,7,8... he's up to one knee... 9,10! He can't beat the count - this one is all over!
