Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Max McRiot (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jyri Kiero (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McRiot comes to the cage accompanied by Insomnium - The Killjoy. Jyri Kiero will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jyri Kiero!
The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Roosa Järviläinen and Anni Minnemäki.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kiero tries to clinch up.
Kiero keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Kiero tries to clinch but McRiot moves out of range.
McRiot looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
McRiot looks for a takedown but Kiero sprawls well.

Kiero moves in looking to clinch but McRiot pushes him off.

McRiot shoots for a double leg takedown but Kiero sprawls well. He's pushed McRiot's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

McRiot throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Kiero's waist but Kiero gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing McRiot off to one side.
Kiero throws a head kick that McRiot semi-blocks.
McRiot fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Kiero drives through and clinches with McRiot against the cage.
McRiot turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
McRiot is looking to take a break and control but Kiero is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

McRiot stands up.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Kiero stuffs the takedown.

McRiot bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
McRiot stands up and we're back to a striking position.
McRiot drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
McRiot passes easily into side control. Nice work.
McRiot passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Kiero!
McRiot takes his opponent's back. Perhaps a chance to lock up a rear naked choke here.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
McRiot is working for a rear naked choke. Kiero is not defending it well and McRiot has tightened it up quickly! This could be all over! Kiero refuses to tap and goes to sleep, forcing the referee to intervene. A little trickle of blood came out of Kiero's nose as his head slumped to the floor. That is naaaasty!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:22 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Max McRiot!
