Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Shaun Acosta (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sam Ericksson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Shaun Acosta! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Sam Ericksson! The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Igor Prikhodko and Sergei Dronov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ericksson has Acosta up against the cage in a clinch.
Acosta gets control of Ericksson's arms and successfully pulls guard. Acosta will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Acosta has his hands on Ericksson's head, controlling the position. Ericksson trying to stand up but can't free himself from Acosta's guard. Acosta kicks Ericksson off and gets to his feet. Acosta fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Ericksson sprawls well initially but Acosta persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Nice strikes from Acosta there. Ericksson is looking to get back to is feet but Acosta passes into side control.
Acosta is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Ericksson has escaped the position, nice work there. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Acosta prevents Ericksson from escaping the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Acosta scoring with punches from side control. Acosta tries for a kimura but Ericksson is defending well. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Acosta lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. Ericksson wants to get back to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Acosta has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. Ericksson will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Acosta goes for a double leg but Ericksson avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Ericksson continues to drive forward. Acosta closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. Ericksson takes the fight into the clinch. Ericksson can't break the clinch.
Acosta has had enough of the clinch but Ericksson keeps him there for the moment. Ericksson keeps control of Acosta as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Acosta breaks the clinch.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Acosta shoots and misses and Ericksson cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
It looks like Shaun Acosta has been cut. Ericksson gets in close and instigates a clinch. Acosta tries to work over Ericksson's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Ericksson is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Acosta lands with a short shot to the head. Acosta working hard to break the clinch. Acosta pulls guard effortlessly. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Acosta holds on and takes a little breather. Acosta is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Acosta prevents Ericksson from standing back up.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Acosta not landing any meaningful shots this time. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Acosta lands a nice short elbow. Ericksson is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Ericksson taking some punishment here, with Acosta in his half guard. Acosta is working for a kimura but Ericksson is defending it quite comfortably.
Ericksson tries to kick Acosta off in order to stand up. Acosta Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control. Acosta tries for a kimura but Ericksson is defending well. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Shaun Acosta dominated that round. The cut man is working on Shaun Acosta's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
A punch combination from Ericksson misses. Acosta takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. Acosta shoots in and drives through. Ericksson sprawls well. Acosta manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Ericksson on his heels. He'll look to pass Ericksson's guard now, I'm sure. Acosta is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Acosta might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Acosta cracks Ericksson with a solid left hand. Acosta works over Ericksson with some ground and pound from guard. Acosta with a nice head shot there. Acosta has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Ericksson is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Acosta is controlling him. Acosta with a flurry of punches that miss. Acosta is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Ericksson can do to turn this around?
That's one minute gone in the round. Acosta stands up over Ericksson, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Acosta keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Ericksson's head. Acosta lands a couple of elbows. Ericksson wants to stand but Acosta is controlling the position. Ericksson is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Acosta moves into the clinch. Acosta wants to break the clinch but can't.
Ericksson is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Acosta ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Acosta no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Acosta pulls Ericksson in close to prevent any damage. Acosta lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard. Acosta trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Acosta decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Ericksson, up you get! Acosta tries to keep at a distance but Ericksson has taken the fight into the clinch.

Acosta looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Ericksson! Ericksson taking punishment in the form of punches.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Acosta is working Ericksson over with some ground and pound from side control. Acosta is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Ericksson knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Acosta is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Ericksson has escaped the position, nice work there. Ericksson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Acosta. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Acosta working the ground and pound. Acosta has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Ericksson is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Acosta yanks on the arm and Ericksson is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Acosta.
