The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stonedberg misses with a lunging right hand
and Simans counters with a good low kick that Stonedberg was not able to check.
A solid leg kick lands there for Simans.
Stonedberg takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Edgars Simans seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Stonedberg listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
Stonedberg misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
No joy there for Stonedberg, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Nice uppercut lands for Simans. That snapped Stonedberg's head back.
Stonedberg takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Simans throws a solid leg kick but Stonedberg takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Simans.
Stonedberg went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Stonedberg chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Simans can pounce on him.
Simans blocks a head kick by Stonedberg.
Simans throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Stonedberg on the side of the head.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Simans attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.

and Stonedberg counters with a head kick that drops Simans to the mat! Simans scrambles across the canvas and gets back to his feet, still wobbly!

Stonedberg throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Simans looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Simans is still on wobbly legs! Can Stonedberg finish him?
Stonedberg weaves into range and cracks Simans right on the temple with a beautiful overhand right! Simans goes down! He's out cold! Wow, what a beautiful knockout! Stonedberg is strutting round the canvas like a movie star as the camera bulbs flash frantically.
